You need spence on resume, you need the win under belt then you can relax. It's a high risk, high reward fight. You don't want to be fighting even higher risk lower reward fighters when your nearly 40 years old.

It's not hard to believe Terence "Bud" Crawford when he said the fight would have been made eventually if Spence was on his own.

Why, because Erroll "The Truth" himself mentioned the personal sacrifice of not being able to eat properly just to maintain the weight is no fun at all. You could easily see this when drained fighters after weighing on the scales immediately grab a bottle of water.

The Truth want this fight over with so he can move on with the next chapter.

Duckford's entitlement attitude screwed this dam fight up. He has no promoter and hasn't done jack ***** at 147 but earned Pacquiao's stolen belt from Jeff Horn.

Shawn Porter got a $2 million guarantee for Spence. You think Bud would accept that?

He and many of his fans apparently, struggle grasping the thought of making a percentage of the PPV sales which would make up most of the fighter's total earnings.

It's how Errol banks every time. Low guarantee + PPV %. Hasnt been a problem until now. It's also important to state that neither of them were getting a purse guarantee for this fight, so what's the problem?

The problem is twofold - first, as I understand it, Crawford wasnt going to get ANY guarantee. Second, Spence is the promoter's fighter, he know's he going to get paid - wither from the real figures or an under-the-table deal. Crawford knows that the costs can be inflated so that there's no profit or at least much less profit. So, as I understand it, to avoid that happening, he wanted transparency on the costs and PBC weren't willing to provide it.

And then, wasn't it the case that Spence was still at 200lbs plus in October? If the fight stood a realistic chance of being put together don't you think he'd have been losing weight since the summer? Or could it be that Haymon told him, lets just wait until Crawford is a bit older to swing the odds in our favour. We'll negotiate but we'll negotiate so we don't fight.

Just trying to join the dots.

I blame the 'business of boxing' for spoiling fighters like Crawford by overpaying them to fight no-hopers.

crawford is a spoiled brat, he was overpaid his entire career. he cant draw flies to chit but they been paying him large guarantees.

Whatever he was offered, he declined it and then tried to tell haymond he found a mystery investor he wont name who has $50 million.... he is full of it.

Hes trying to sue Arum for underpaying him, he is crazy, he has no fans and doesnt sell, its very believeable Arum lost money on him for a lot of fights, going to be very embarrassing if that comes out in court.
