AJ won't take this fight. AJ and Hearn thought they could cherry-pick Usyk and that backfired big time. At this stage, Wallin would be a VERY credible win for AJ, but it's way too high risk/low reward. Beating a credible contender is not on their to-do list. Getting easy paydays is. And what's worse about all this, is that I think the AJ from Usyk 2 beats Wallin. If he didn't stop Wallin, it would be about a 8-4 type UD.

AJ needs to realize that he needs to challenge himself at this stage of the game. He's got more than enough money. What he should be fighting for is legacy.

Better opponent than punch drunk punching bag Whyte. Declining Joshua clear favorite over Wallin. Lesson from the days of Tyson - Ruddock: be cautious in over-rating a fighter for “looking good while losing”.

A punch could cut anyone & he lost almost every round to Fury. The problem with Wallin is he is with a promoter with no major TV deal. He wants bigger fights but won’t get them with Salita. He needs a better promoter…

AJ's record still looks healthy but, after several losses & that embarrassing meltdown v Usyk, his people know he is running out of time. They want AJ's next opponent to be either (1) someone he can almost certainly beat or (2) someone who will pay so much AJ & his people can retire in comfort.
Category 1 is shrinking by the day & Category 2 consists of Fury or Deontay.
Sorry, Otto, you don't belong in either category.
I think if AJ had stayed with Rob McCracken, whatever quality trainer he is, at least he woulda looked out for him.

Aj and Canelo are both in the same boat, they both must be very careful who they choose for opponents. A loss to lower tier opponent would be devastating to their career.

What he needs is to look like sheeit in his next fight so some one BRAVE with a big name will fight him.

                Wallin feels "entitled'?

                Really?!

Anyone who watches Fury vs Wallin can see that he is dangerous. At this point in Wallin’s career, fighting him is high risk and low reward.

He fought 2 trialhorses this past year, won a 12 round decision over Breazeale & beat Kauffman by injury stoppage. It’s not like he has been some destructive force. He is a big southpaw who can box. He doesn’t blow guys out. He is a low reward opponent who brings nothing to the table. He needs a promoter with a tv deal, influence & money to blow…

I'd rather this than a pointless Whyte rematch. At least we haven't seen this before. This would be the perfect comeback opponent for Joshua really when you consider he's fresh off the back of 24 rounds with a masterful southpaw in Usyk. He can put what he's learned to the test.
