Comments Thread For: Porter on Crawford Negotiating For Spence Fight: 'Doing It On Your Own Ain't Gon' Get It Done'

Shawn Porter evidently thinks that Terence Crawford could have approached negotiations for an undisputed welterweight fight with Errol Spence Jr. in a more sensible manner.

Bud needs to apologize to Bob. A racist doesn't pay a black man $4M to fight Egidijus Kavaliauskas.

Crawford’s problem is he has 0 leverage. He spent the years he should have been building himself into a mainstream star hiding behind Arum and taking nothing but easy touches.

He was a free agent and no other promoters jumped to sign him because he’s not worth it.

Canelo got out of his his DAZN deal and is deciding between multiple $100 million dollar paydays each time he’s available.

Crawford takes the easy money but is costing himself in the long run.

It doesn't matter who is representing Crawford. He had a full career of representation and still fought nobody. When you really want something, you do whatever it takes, even if it means taking the shorter straw in order to prove something, Crawford is 35, I think we can all say at this point that he's had ample opportunity to get something done, even if it wasn't Spence, how about Ennis, Ortiz? amongst others. Crawford doubts if he can beat those guys, that's why he wants a boatload of cash, if he was truly confident, he would steamroll through theses opponents, I mean look at the greats in boxing history, they take on challenges no matter what. Until Crawford proves otherwise, the critics will be there....

Shawny never forgets to play the company role.

When Bud was with TR: "wrong side of the street".
Bud no longer with TR: "He can't do it on his own".

          GTFOH!

Porter is right and I agree. If Team Crawford was really serious about making this fight happen then where was Bomac in those negotiations with Haymon who is also Bud Crawford's manager?

“Crawford said during his Instagram tell-all that he had approached Haymon about a $50 million offer from two hedge funds but that Haymon would not consider the offer, which, in the end, became a dealbreaker for Crawford“

                Why is this writer lying?

Agreed , Bob is not racist , he doesn't like white , black , yellow, or blue ....just green! Bud let himself down badly and there's no need for steering up hate the way he did ...he doesn't sell himself well and whispers away yet he earned around $20m over four years with Bob with no real big fights such as Spence.

Crawford is a clown who keeps insisting he's his own boss because he's negotiating by himself. A good boss hires a good team. LeBron has agents to negotiate for him. He has lawyers to look over contracts. Bud apparently didn't even trust his lawyer and fired him in the middle of negotiations.
