Comments Thread For: Fury: If Usyk Actually Wants The Fight, We'll Do That Fight Next

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury admits that he was lured back to boxing after becoming miserable while sitting out in retirement for several months. In the aftermath of his knockout win over Dillian Whyte in April, Fury announced his retirement from the sport.

No. IBF is schooling the Ukrainian bum right now. Maybe later.

I just can’t take this guy seriously. He says he isn’t in the sport for money yet he demands 500 mil for an Usyk fight. He says he wants to fight Usyk or Joshua in December after they had a fight at the end of August, and let’s face it, no elite boxer takes mega fights between four months after they had another mega fight. Then he starts **** talking them and he ends up fighting Chisora for a third time. Now Usyk is faced with a mandatory that seemingly won’t take step aside money for the sake of an undisputed fight and we have Fury opening his mouth again questioning Usyk’s desire to fight for undisputed. And my prediction is that Usyk won’t drop the belt and will be forced to make a defence against Hregovic and throughout the whole buildup we’ll have Fury **** talking again, talking his hypocritical bs like it’s not his fault an undisputed fight isn’t happening. Remember, had he only turned down Warren's offer for a December fight against an unknown opponent that ended up being Chisora, they could have started negotiations with Usyk’s team one month ago for a fight in February.

I like the way he says "...if Usyk really wants it.." like there is a doubt. Usyk was all in on Fury next, just not on Fury's imposed December timeline. Usyk is simply looking at options for early next year in case Chisora upsets Fury (assuming there is a rematch cause) or if Fury gets injured. Usyk has the chance to beat the #1 HW and unify his second division. It is the legacy fight he left the CWs for. He will take it.

Side not: Fury's mental health and substance abuse is well documented and he has been very open about it. I respect that man TONS for overcoming all that to become the champion he is. He may be a sideshow, but boxing is better with him in it.

You are just now figuring out that he is all over the place with the things he says?

Haha for sure he is! He is doing a good job of it to lol He has made a **** ton of money with his antics. Chisora fight is lame, but we should know he is not going to boo boo that belt. There will be a big fight sooner than later when boxing politics/money line up, which they will...too much money to be made.

Not a fury fan or anything, just think he is pretty great at the hustle.

Sure is, but it seems to work. Floyd was also annoying.

No, I noticed the same pattern in the Wilder trilogy as well, but now he seems out of control. Looks worse than Teofimo and his clown father delusional asses tbh.
