But I don't mind a precedent being set that you can't WWE someone over the top rope and expect a fight to go on. The risk for serious injury is just nuts in that situation and if guys thought it was just a point deduction maybe it starts to become a desperation tactic-fug that.
U cant reward someone for bushwhacked amatuer tactics like that. This is not the wwe.

The tactic of throwing over the ropes and out of the ring was outrageous, thankfully by luck he landed on his feet on not his head. What kind of person is Hearn who wanted to get access for a fighter to fight knowing he failed two drugs tests and thinks to throw some one over the ropes is acceptable , what a clown..

First person to mention it, exactly. He could have landed on his head and the possibility of a TBI affecting his mental and physical health for the rest of his life. TBI is the main factor in veteran suicides recently revealed. Disqualification is the least of what should happen to this fiend. I think a more harsh penalty is in order

Someone tell Hearn this is boxing and not a Royal Rumble match where wrestlers throw eachother over the top rope to eliminate one another.

Only reason Hearn and Love’s team have the audacity to protest is because the blatant foul didn’t hurt Spark because of HE landed.

Very bad, although typical, perspective from Hearn.

Thought Fields correctly handled the situation. Clown show performance from Hearn, his commentary was wrong and not needed at the moment (although that's never stopped him before). The old guy in brown suit (commissioner perhaps?) seemed like he was wavering but luckily Fields held firm in his decision.

I like Love and think he's a skilled fighter but it seemed like he was frustrated and looking for a way out of the fight. Embarrassing response from him.

Many of you have some valet points however, Hearn rushed to judgement about the referee only. How about the unprofessional corner of Love in the attack towards David Fields is where I have most of my issues. The referee has a split second decision to make many times and in this case it was a DQ, yes he could have did a point deduction with a strong warning but he made a decision so live with it. I can say Love was professional about it! However his cornerman need a suspension right away to send a message to trainers of what you can’t do to a referee. Also Love is ok but he showed he has heart after the knockdown although this fight need to happen again.

You have to disqualify any fighter who intentionally throws his opponent over the top rope. Letting the fight continue because the victim just happened to land on his feet and not on his head would set a terrible precedent.
