PBF did advise them days before that he was not going to make 144 and to change the contract. Golden is at fault for changing the contract.

What was the alternative though? Cancel the fight?

Force Floyd and if Floyd didn't/couldn't make 140 then yes cancel the fight. Why not? I don't blame Floyd at all. I blame Golden Boy for this. If Floyd can not make 144. What should he do?

Marquez was clearly in it for the money and all he would've gotten was a fee for the cancellation.
He already waited. JMM probably figured if that was the case and it was called off , Floyd could just pick someone else.

And he's sit there with his **** in his hands with only the fee he got for the weight stipulation instead of millions.

If the fight would of been cancelled the whole show would of been cancelled. And, who was Floyd going to chose for a PPV fight? Mosley or Cotto/Pac winner were he only other options. JMM should of not went through with this. And, maybe in the end of the year he could of fought Juan Diaz rematch or Ricky Hatton. True not big money fight. But, winnable fights. That if he won and Pac beats Cotto. Then maybe you can have a JMM-Pac trilogy. Where he would of gotten seven figures.

I wonder what the original contract was the way I read Yahoo was it was a 147 fight but anything over 144 involved a penalty, or if it was 144 or cancelled.

As far as Pac goes, I doubt him and JMM get it on again. I mean it took over 3 years between the first and second one.

I honestly don't know what the original contract was. I do know they changed it days before the fight. When Floyd contact them and said he wasn't going to make 144. Golden Boy should of done a better job for JMM IMO.

Now, I agree, I don't think there would be a 3rd fight. JMM is out of the picture. Unless Pac losses or if JMM somehow fights his way back on top. But, at 36 it seems unlikely. If he would of not went through this fight and fought a winnable fight. I think he would of maybe had a good chance on getting it. Now he can forget about it.

                failed.

Not also for the money but exposure... and he have to fight pacquiao for this

matter. and the only way he can fight Pacquaio is a lost to Cotto.

He thought he can do what Pacquiao have accomplished.

                But he failed.

To a cherry picking gayful cheater and full of **** PBF.

**** Suleiman, he talks crap about Marquez but has never been in a ring, he doesn't know what it feels to be a fighter. JMM and his people took this fight cause they had the confidence that make winning teams. Nacho Beristain and JMM are winners and they took a chance, they believe in themselves and have a great desire. As small the possibility to win is, you have sometimes to take a big gamble. I can respect that, he can't understand coz he never fought or train boxing in his life. For him boxing is just a business.

Weight has tons to do with it, because of the weight difference Marquez didn't have enough to hurt Mayweather with his punches and because of the extra pounds he had to put on, he wasen't as sharp as he usually was.
