Spence/Crawford has effectively become MayPac 2.0. The back and forth, the pointing of fingers, and all that BS is reminiscent of MayPac negotiations. Which lends me to believe that this fight will not happen for at least another couple fights. So freaking sad for the boxing fan. These guys will be diminished by the time they meet.

The argument that people are using against Crawford makes literally no sense.

Crawford told Haymon, I have big money backers. Let's meet and discuss. He didn't say anything about taking control away from Haymon. He didn't say anything about B side or A side. He said, let's have a meeting to see if you all want to make a boatload on this fight. Because PPV is dying.

Had Haymon taken the meeting, he could have made his client, Spence, a huge boatload of money. He himself would have gotten a big cut. The fight world is happy. Or, he could right now be saying, the offer wasn't real, and Crawford got fooled. Simple.

Spence has been saying for years that Crawford is on the wrong side of the street, etc. Bud has said for years, I want Spence. Haymon was the proven barrier. He now wom't take a meeting to discuss financing the fight and paying Spence more than he has ever made. And he is telling Spence, "Crawford won't say who it is". So Spence is repeating that.

None of this "Bud is the B side" or "Haymon is a great businessman" rhetoric make a bit of difference. Haymon refused to even meet with Crawford's finance people. It is totally on him. And as a "great businessman", Haymon understands that Bud is not going to go giving private info about his financers if they don't want Bud to publically say who it is.

There isn't even anything to argue about. Haymon does not want Spence fighting Bud, and he certainly doesn't want Spence seeing a fighter without a promoter securing him far more pay than he himself can.

Promoters are killing the sport. Period.

Hey-zoos Christ! What in the world is wrong with you people. What do you mean Haymon won't take a meeting with Bud. They have literally been meeting since June. That's like 5 months of meetings between Al and Bud's people. What are you talking about? Al gave Bud everything he asked for except a 20 mill guarantee. when is errole spence fighting again? crawford was in shape to fight in a couple of weeks and spence has been fat and drunk this whole time. nevre in shape to fight rest of 2022

I know it's been said numerous times on this forum... but, bring back the day's of..Sugar Ray Robinson, Sugar Ray Leonard, Tommy Hearns, Marvin Hagler, Roberto Duran... and the list goes on and on. Money and politics are slowly causing the death of the artwork and sport we all love. I know the money is important , and should be high on the priority list... but even in this day and age, at least once in awhile, just fight for the legacy of the game you and us alike truly love. Honor the past... and the champions who had to have influenced and inspired you.

Nobody knows the truth behind what went down. I honestly believe both fighters wanted the fight but as always the business got in the way of another big fight going down. But people claiming Bud ducked Spence are just being ridiculous.

He is his own Boss who he fights in entirely his choice, and he walked away from the fight for the undisputed world champion which is the highest honour any fighter can have, there is no other conclusion that can hold water other than Bud did not want to fight Errol.

So you believe in the phantom hiding in the hedge, it didn't take anything but a guy saying it for you to buy in, have you looked at ALL what has come out and objectively weighed up the evidence, I say you haven't.
