If he’s talking about what I think he’s talking about (the little excerpts Spence posted on twitter), it’s not what Crawford wanted. The first draft gave him “transparency” after the fact. Basically the receipt. What Crawford wanted was to see everything as it was happening, and he wanted to be able to approve expenses since all of his purse was coming from it.

And Spence basically admitted they only agreed to that with the final contract and for sometime in 2023 by dodging the question.

The real question is, why would Haymon not at least have a meeting with Crawford and the backers? Because he knew that it was real, and that Spence would get far more than Haymon was paying him. Don't want Spence off the leash.

When you offer $50 mill, there are many reasons you might not want your name everywhere until the fight is signed.

Beyond obvious why Haymon doesn't want the fight. Spence gets knocked out and Haymon loses value on him and can't milk him for as long.

It is time to admit it. Promoters protecting fighters like this has ruined the sport. Period.

forget about transparency, we need simplicity, make it easier to make big fights, force top guys into the ring & if they wont play ball, they get the blame, no smoke screens & blame game stuff & no aging which is a boxing curse, fights past their due prime date are no good for the most part
