Not at all, I guess you just watch who the media puts in your face. Jose Romero was 24-0, Ramirez was 27-2, Magdaleno was 32-3, Mattice was 15-1, Vargas was 27-2, and Gamboa is a rite of passage gatekeeper at this point due to his former greatness, which is the reason Tank and Crawford felt the need to fight him. All these fighters are credible opponents with good records trying to get to the same position Cruz is in now, and his record is similar at 24-2. He's ranked second for a reason.Comment

That's funny, he went to a decision on a guy everyone knows, including Diaz who stated it himself, should be fighting at 130, but you're giving him credit for a top ten win. After piling up an entire resume of window washers and tomato cans in Mexico, this was his first real fight. I have no doubt that Cruz would walk him down and destroy him on the ropes. Zepeda is undefeated with a bunch of KOs from cans in Mexico and Ring still only has him ranked at 7 in lightweight and WBC has him at 13. They have Cruz at 4 and 2 respectively.Last edited by Rebelrbg; 11-10-2022, 11:18 AM.Comment
