Funny thing Mayweather is mentioned because yesterday I too was thinking about Mayweather.
Not against each other (actually I never think about hypothetical fights. I find it useless) or that Bivol has accomplished as much as Mayweather but they both render their opponents harmless and disarm them.

    Mayweather had all the answers.
With Bivol, they don't know what questions to ask.

The reason Ramirez wasn't throwing was because he didn't see an opening and didn't see how he could create any.
    That pacifies/paralyzes a fighter.

Bivol hasn't fought the level of comp yet, he has such a long way to go people are over hyping him after so very little. And Im not knocking him he hasn't shown me anything to put him in with the superstars just yet. If he goes to 168 the overall level of fighter is better than the 175 division.

Beterbiev reminds me of Wilder, but his power seems to be more of the thudding variety like Foreman or McClellan, rather than the Wilder, Hearns, or Shavers style of car-crash-whiplash power. Still, no one up to this point can take it.

I’m picking Bivol to outbox him, maybe take a knockdown, get up, and grind out the victory a’la a Fury - Wilder III.

****** post of the day. Remove Fury from your avi you brainless dosser.

Respectfully, neither fighter matches the comparisons you make. Berbertiev is a smarter fighter than Wilder, by some distance.

Bivol vs prime kovalev would have been a joy to watch.

Not just his fundamentals: his strategy, too. He utilises vertical movement better than anyone i can think of above WW, and never engages where he detects he has a disadvantage.

As long as he retains his foot and hand speed, this game plan will never fail him.

Got a feeling Berbetiev won’t be able to impose himself the way he has done in all his other fights and will lose it on points, unless Bivol’s legs are shot (somehow) by the time they get in the ring.

                You reckon??

All i see is what kind of attributes he’s bringing to a fight compared with what potential opponents are, and I think to myself, 9 times out of 10,m (maybe more) fighting the way he does with his particular skill set secures a route to victory against any other boxer.

Some boxers possess his hand speed, and his athleticism, but very few use distance, range, and vertical movement like he does, and even fewer possess all of the above in one go.

Nobody is beating Bivol, especially now that Beterbiev is 40 or close to it and would be 43-45 if and when Bivol fights him.

I feel a lot of the time you are allowed to do what you want because of the level of who is in front of you, Ive seen and Im sure you would have as well what appears great boxing then the level of the opponent rises and its not so great any more, every top fighter rises through the grades fairly quickly and then he gets tested sooner or later, what Im saying is the potential is there, he boxes well but to put him in the class with superstars based on what he has done is premature, he has a ways to go, Im not knocking the guy Im just not jumping on the bandwagon.

Bivol is favourite as beterbiev tip toeing around bivol. Whoever is doing the tip toeing is the underdog. So whoever is tip toeing between spence v bud, fury v usyk is underdog
