Now don't quote me on that its something I have heard and read before. Google it. Now Judah clearly hurt Mayweather, outclassed him for the first few rounds and then if you follow Judah you will see that it was not the counter punches that got him to stop fighting it was just plain ole Judah. Since when has he ever given 100% of himself other than the first 5 rounds max of a fight. It is very typical so no Floyd does not deserve that credit, to beat Judah simply just weather the storm, maintain your composure and let it happen. When Mayweather fought Corley he was visibly hurt as well and it was a competitive fight but at the same time Corley is not on the skill level of Judah. Both southpaws who faced Mayweather and the only two to ever visibly hurt him but one who didn't posses the talent to pursue and the other didn't posses the passion and desire to pursue. Manny Pacquiao is a relentless warrior who will continue to pursue Floyd even if he is behind all 12 rounds on the cards and will continue to throw with power, speed and a fire that I have not seen in that ring since a young Mike Tyson. Manny Pacquiao is nothing but trouble for Floyd. Styles make fights and even though I believe Floyd will paint him with punches as well, I definitely see Pacquiao coming out the victor, and we will be forced to find out if Floyd has the heart of a great fighter.
Another Floyd hater."The Corly fight was competitive""Floyd should not get credit for beating Judah"I could see your hate for Floyd is super strong.you a clown that`s never gonna stop hating.

This is a good thread, not much hating going on. Make me want to see more of the Pac-Cotto fight.

i think the real question is....will pac be able to defend against floyd's offense? pac's only chance is to be in attack mode and be EFFECTIVE every second of the fight because if he takes any breaks floyd will make him pay. when floyd lets his hands go he lands at an extremely high %.

What happened on Saturday doesn't indicate what Mayweather would be able to do against an opponent like Manny Pacquiao. While Juan Manuel Marquez was indeed the smaller guy, Marquez's style was also tailor made for Floyd Mayweather. Very few have been able to counter punch against Mayweather, Zab Judah being one of them; dude is fast and a south paw. Marquez doesn't have that type of athletic ability. Marquez has been more about timing.

Pacquiao has the speed to match Mayweather; is a south paw, so the shoulder roll won't be as effective. Pacquiao has the foot speed/ foot work/ angles to make Mayweather VERY uncomfortable. Also a new found more developed right hook. Jesus Chavez/ JLC were able to land right hands over the top against Mayweather and they fight out of an orthodox stance, Marquez did as well but rarely. Much easier for a south paw to land right hooks against Mayweather, especially one as athletic as Pacquiao. Also, Manny Pacquiao's 5'6 height would be VERY beneficial, in that, like Jesus Chavez, who is short; Pacquiao will be able to land over the top with the right hook.

We have to look at Zab Judah's success against Mayweather. Zab Judah stopped throwing the jab because he was being countered with left hooks over the top.

So Mayweather managed to take away one of his weapons and proceeded to break him down to the body. I don't see Mayweather having that sort of success against Pacquiao, Pacquiao is a VERY explosive combination puncher . He will jab to the body though, which is MUCH less of a risk. I don't think Zab Judah wasn't conditioned enough to go the 12 rounds with Mayweather, I believe he was. It had more to do with Mayweather's precise/ constant body attack.

Some may disagree but to me, Pacquiao's hand speed is slightly slower then Judah's. But Pacquiao's foot speed compensates for that. I've already mentioned that Pacquiao is more consistent so, who has Mayweather faced that has the stamina/ activity that Manny Pacquiao brings? No one. Would Mayweather be able to attack the body (As he did against Judah) without getting hit upstairs against an explosive combination puncher in Pacquiao? I have a hard time seeing that. What Mayweather vs. Marquez proved is that, Marquez isn't no where nearly as good of a weight jumper as Pacquiao. A good debate is, comparing Pacquiao's power/ hand speed with Judah's.

Next I'll make a thread as to why Pacquiao is gonna beat Cotto.
I agree, adding that Manny Pacquiao, a southpaw, can make PBF turn like a top behind that shoulder defense, and that Mayweather seem to have less stamina in view of his currently limited dancing style that he showed. Lastly, Pacman`s head-weaving could be a puzzle for PBF`s jab, and could actually be an opening, as compared to dela Hoya`s jab which was also as fast, but did not hit anything.

it doesn't matter that marquez is about two divisions smaller than mayweather and cotto is about two divisions bigger than pacquiao?

pac does have really good head and upper body movement.

much better than marquez. Unlike what many people say, Pac doesn't always come straight in bouncing up and down. Rewatch a recent fight of his and tell me he doesn't come in bobbing and weaving at different angles.

lol these nuthuugers think Pac can beat May wahaha just wow they always brng up the southpaws May fought but they never say anything about there size there reach there stlye of fighting there boxing IQ in the ring. none of these southpaws fight anything like Pac. Pac has no chance to beat May. JMM give Pac hell what would a bigger version of JMM (with May skill set) plus a 5inch reach do to Pac and befor anybody states May wont fight Pac becaues he is a runner he can fight toe to toe if he wants you just need to look at his fight at the lower weights. Pac will get KTFO with his unbalance tip toe stance that his has. if Pac can get Pass Cotto then we can talk about if he has a shot

Judah is not a real WW, he is a 140lber who for some reason refuses to fight at 140.

I agree with the TS, especially bout Manny being a southpaw and Floyd is wide open to a straight left with the shoulder roll. It blocks left hooks and straight rights perfectly, but as with every fighter, you can't cover your entire upper body with two arms. I also Mayweather get hit with left hooks to the body as well, again he covers his head very well but it leaves his body open as well. This doesn't necessarily mean Manny will win, but Manny is the kind of style you need in order to beat a boxer. The bounce in and out keeps Mayweather from being able to time his precision punches on top of all Manny's head movement. Manny is one of the only 2 people I feel may have a chance at beating Mayweather in the WW division.

                      DS,

Yo man IDK, Judah is a counter punching Southpaw and is really one dimensional. He doesnt attack like Pacquiao or open himself up like Pacquiao. Judah preserves his punch output hoping to land his left and box a little. Pacquiao's aggression will be his downfall IMO. He isnt going to outbox Mayweather in the Middle of the ring, his only option is to come forward. What happens when the bigger Mayweather backs Pacquiao up? I hope there isnt anyone on this board who thinks Pac is going to out muscle Mayweather and back him up.

Mayweather will break Pacquiao down, the thing is Mayweather doesnt NEED to get a KO, he is comfortable winning out points and staying defensive out punching his opponent. Pac isnt like that, and especially against Mayweather he will have to attack and he will pay for it. I mean damn Marquez outlanded Pacquiao when they fought and won more rounds. I do not see Pacquiao being able to break Mayweathers defense with just a left hand, nor do I see him standing in the middle of the ring outboxing Mayweather. I like Pacquiao but he is not the man to beat Mayweather and people will soon see.
