The fight will do much better numbers on Showtime. Look at Canelo-Plant compared to Canelo-GGG numbers. DAZN doesn’t have the reach in the US.

Showtime should get US PPV rights, DAZN should get international rights.

That’s the best deal for the fighters, network greed will get in the way though.

DAZN didn’t even want that fight. Munguia and his promoter had already agreed to terms then Oscar let his jealousy come in and ruin it. Now Munguia is fighting 10rd against an 75th ranked opponent. How Oscar isn’t getting the same hate as Haymon is head scratching. If DAZN wants to air the fight then they need to send Showtime/Davis an offer. As it stands now Showtime is the one paying the purses and making the offer. Ryan has told his team to accept the deal and they still insist on DAZN being involved. Showtime has also offered to pay DAZN a percentage. DAZN/GBP ruining fights.

It's up to DAZN and Showtime now to work out the broadcasting issues as stated by Oscar. Pretty clear cut here, so this whole narrative of Ryan ever being afraid of Tank just got flushed down the toilet.

OscarDAZN **** the bed by not allowing Mungia to head over to Sho for that fight with Mall,i agree but both PBC/SHO and DAZN/GBP have invested heavily in Tank and Ryan. It has to be a 50/50 rights split or close too it so let's see who's willing to play ball here.

Why would I believe Oscar? He has been in this business 20 years, he has known some of those showtime guys for 20 years. Go make the fight, tweeting about it with excuses ready is not a good look.

I had an idea about this, how about Garcia fights on SHO, and PBC sends Boots to fight Vergil on DAZN?

The fight will do better on showtime ppv maybe allow DAZN to replay the fight the next week. Or just make a 2 fight deal with the rematch on DAZN. Tank gets 60/40, if Ryan wins fight 1 he gets 60/40 in rematch

Oscar is delusional no one is gonna work with DAZN. They tried overbidding and undercutting everyone in the business now are begging to have the competitions fighters fighting on their bum streaming service cause their 5 fighters won’t fight each other. Dazn has sunk mungia/charlo charlo/Andrade haney/anybody aj/fury gonna be tank/garcia now. Like no one watches that garbage lol

If pbc put up more than they should get rights to stateside and dazn rights overseas.
DLH has killed a fight like this before insisting dazn bee involved when they didn’t put up any money or have any interest in doing so for a joint promotion. I like Oscar, he’s the reason dazn has at least something to offer American fight fans but he is not helping this situation with this stance
No, it isn't that simple. People have contracts that can't just be broken. Garcia is probably the biggest fighter on dazn and tank is the biggest fighter on showtime. You think either network is just going to say it is ok for their biggest fighter to go fight on a different network?

prime example why the Charlo vs Munguia fight fell through. Hoya and his DAZN garbage.

                      That’s a great idea.

Something like that could work, not sure whether Boots vs Ortiz could work without a title on the line but how about PBC send Benavidez to fight Canelo in September.
