If the money was being offered up front, it was worth exploring. Haymon wants total control and probably wasn’t getting a big enough piece of the pie for his greedy pockets.Comment

I have serious doubts about these supposed backers. Spence said he asked Crawford where the
money was coming from and he couldn’t tell him. That’s smells dodgy as f***.
Haymon and Team Spence are definitely at fault for trying to lowball Crawford IMO but they were right to dismiss these anonymous backers.Comment

He was going to bet on himself man,he agreed to a "0" gaurantee and only 35% of the split! Never has there been a fight of this magnitude(relatively) structured this way. Hell even Haney recieved a $10mil gaurantee to fight freakin Kambo.Bud asked for one simple request which was to have access to the events books and rightfully so because it effects his bottom line. Haymon says no,why, who the hell knows so Bud takes the bird in hand. How much more would you have bent over at that point? Bud isn't in this game for charity or is obligated to because of PBC's inability to offer a better deal.
1 dollar.
Don’t be ridiculous. Crawford would have made good money fighting Spence, multimillions no doubt. Was it less than he deserved? Probably, but it still would have been a big payday.
Crawford would have obviously been told his forecasted pay based on performance based criteria. I’d love to know what it was but obviously that kind of stuff will remain disclosed.
Tbh man, I just think you’re using this as a vehicle to push your agenda against PBC/Haymon. I think Al is definitely at fault in some respect but the failed negotiations don’t solely fall on him. The structure of the deal was definitely dodgy too but I have no doubt Crawford would have still earned good money.
I’m a massive Crawford fan but he’s definitely at fault too. He’s the guy that withdrew from negotiations as well to sign with Triller 2.0 or whatever they’re called to fight Avanesyan. He’s just wasting the limited prime he has left with meaningless fights like that.
I wish Crawford would have just bet on himself man, take the smaller slice of the pie, beat Spence and then you’re the guy with the leverage, whether that be for a rematch, a Charlo fight, a Thurman fight etc etc. I’m confident he beats Spence too, that’s the most frustrating part. Crawford is the guy losing out on the most by far here and it’s somewhat his own fault.Comment

They like guys they can easily manipulate and persuade. Sad to say but its much easier fooling some poor Mexican with a lil charisma and words like "National Pride" and "Legacy." You aren't foolin a well off brotha like that, $ is attached to those words.Comment

Where did you get the 35% from? Do you mean 35% of the PPV split? Honestly that’s not that bad of a deal, I think that translates into around $15m if not more.

He hasn’t bet on himself. He’s fighting Avanesyan on an app instead of Spence in a mega fight. That’s not betting on yourself.
I’m a massive Crawford fan but he made the wrong choice here IMO. He doesn’t have the time to waste either which makes all the more frustrating.Comment

When has PBC made a 50-50 fight vs someone not PBC? Two top lvl, prime guys, without inactivity, age, recently ko’d, dropping weight etc etc.Comment
