Pretty funny how the UK/hearniac crowd are so eager to take a "verbal claim" as proof positive of money and "hedge fund managers" being properly in place to finance a fight .... after they cried and cried when Wilder offered AJ $50 million AND hearn verified that the funds were there .... and they still turned it down.

In this case, all you have is words from Terence Crawford, that all this stuff existed. No formal offer. No emails. No paperwork. Not even a real business call from the "hedge fund managers". What hedge fund manager, willing to invest over $50 million in a fight, would leave it to TC to speak with Al Haymon to try to make the deal? Answer: None, that were serious about putting on this fight. Particularly when Crawford tells Al Haymon that the "managers" know him. If they know him, why would they not call and have a legitimate conversation the way these mega busniessmen operate every day of the week? Why would they send TC out to break the ice OR make a deal?

Answer is: they wouldn't.

Agreed, it is a damage-control claim, after the whole world has berated TC for pulling out of the fight (after getting his concerns addressed and added to the working contract ... with no reply).
