What Crawford says sounds genuine and believable to me. Haymon has always struck me as a secretive control freak and this just confirms it. The Spence-Crawford fight will never happen.

To the fans, boxing is a sport, that they watch for entertainment. When it turns solely into a business, then they have the option to stop providing money for it's business part and that’s the only way the fans will take back control and get the fights they want and when they want them.

I don't care who's at fault. These super fights always leave a bad taste in my mouth. Pacquiao and Mayweather happened 5-6 years too late. Spence is 32 while Crawford is 35. Crawford is essentially at the end of his peak powers. We'll be able to gauge where he's at in his next fight. But, it's really disappointing that these fighters and promoters can't pay back the loyal fanbase by giving them this fight.
