Why is Canelo so scared of David Benavidez and Artur Beterbiev?

He only went for the belts at 168 when Benavidez lost his belt. Why is that? He had no interest at going for SMW undisputed when Benavidez and Zurdo Ramirez were champions at 168lbs.

Canelo also picked the weakest link at 175 in Kovalev instead of the best in Artur Beterbiev.

Now all signs point to Canelo ducking the Bivol rematch and cherrypicking John Ryder in May.

Beterbiev no, he is too big, fought around the 90kgs in the amateurs. Benavidez is a problem for Canelo.

Unrealistic to expect him to fight Beterbiev but no excuse for avoiding Benavidez.

Benavidez's hype train continues, the same guy who went life and death with one of FMW Jr's TMT fighters.

He is no bigger than Bivol. Obviously a tougher fight which does not change the fact Canelo ducked him at 175. Just like he ducks all the best fighters in every division.

Ducking the Bivol rematch? Canelo was the only one who wanted it. I’d say he’s coming to his senses if he decides against it. You can’t duck something that isn’t coming at you.

Why is Benavidez so scared of 175? Canelo already cleaned out 168, except for Benavidez (who struggles to make 168). If Benavidez can't get Canelo, he only wants 160 fighters like Charlo or Canelo's leftovers like Plant.

Benavidez should try to become undisputed at 175 so he can have an undisputed vs undisputed fight with Canelo. Beterbiev and the winner of Bivol-Ramirez wouldn't hesitate to fight Benavidez, while Benavidez says he'll fight them "eventually" but clearly doubtful of his chances.
