mathematically, how do you come to that?

if porter won 7-5, even with a knockdown, he still wins 114-113.

if the fight was 6-6, without the knockdown, porter ties 114-114.

but again, how do you come to the conclusion that if there wasn't no knockdown, porter would have won the fight? the knockdown had nothing to do with spence winning the fight. spence won the fight because in two judges cards he won 8-4. if spence won 6-6, he won because of the knockdown, but tell me how porter would've won if he didn't get knocked down

if you had porter winning 7-5, why are you even saying "if it wasn't for the knockdown porter would have won"

at 7-5 even WITH being knocked down he still wins the fight

People who go over the pond don't often get a W. Ask Manny Pacquiao about that

21 experts picked spence to win, 4 picked brook and spence was favourite with the book makers. maybe all them people and the bookies didnt realise he was fighting overseas and they thought it was in las vegas when they made their predictions i dont know

No, it's that they thought he'd get ROBBED bro. Even Spence was in a bit of trouble until he turned it up - if I recall he was close to losing that fight on the cards just prior to the stoppage. Just like Crawford with Porter.

Bookies go off of your last fight when making your prediction. Again, see Manny Pacquiao vs. Ugas.

I'm talking about regular everyday people. Nobody ever believes someone can go overseas and win a title. You expect to get robbed. Hell, Devin Haney pitched a shutout and yet the judges had it close against "CM Punk" Kambosos the first time.

Spence caught Porter with that 1 good shot for the kd.
If not for that Porter had a huge chance off winning.
People say that Bud fought a easier version of both Kell and Porter.
I dont see that. Both fighters come to fight, its just Bud figure tgem out more quickly than Spence.
Both Spence and Bud are elite.
hoping fight gets made first quarter next year.
The brook Spence fought was the same brook crawford fought? The worst takes of all time are on this forum.

hey TS Mayweather got a close decision over Castillo and Maidana so I guess he never deserved to be a top P4P fighter right? Ali got a close decision over Norton so i guess he should have never been P4P either right? Briedis gave Usyk all he could handle so he shouldn’t be ranked P4P, neither should Sugar Ray Robinson because he lost to Jake Lamotta one time…the dumbest posts ever on this forum now. It’s really gone down the toilet.

Very close fight. I had Spence winning by a point. Wouldnt have argued had it been a Porter win or draw

Anyone who had Porter winning that fight is blind. I've watched it a couple times and Porter wasn't landing ****. His aggression was ineffective. Spence was countering and hitting him in the face with clean shots all night.

I was a Spence fan at the time and I thought is was a concerning issue. But Brook had been curbstomped by GGG, broken orbital 9 months prior and what have you. I was pretty sure they were getting the weakest Kell and I was well hyped and Spence getting stopped.

Partially true, one judge had it to Spence by a round. Spence was up a lot with the other two judges at 3 and 5 rounds.

Not like it used to be. People are going overseas to win all the time now.

Not true at all. 8-4, 8-4, and 10-2. None of that is close. Promoters fix fights, countries don't generally fix fights.

Shawn Porter was stopped by Terrance Crawford, he did not almost win 'He was beaten down and stopped'.

If Porter was so focused and determined to win. If he was still truly operating at World level? He would of called for the rematch.

If Porter vs Crawford was a super close fight, immediately after the fight 'Team Porter would of been calling for a rematch'.

Nobody called for a rematch, because Porter was probably half way to retirement even before the fight.

I get it. Terrence Crawford is the American version of Derek Chisora. He has a lot of respect in the game, and a loyal fan base.

Shawn Porter for me, never really had the ability to beat a elite level fighter. He can push them and make the fight really difficult for them.

But skill for skill, he was just lacking that ability to win. This is no disrespect, the man was a World Class fighter. I just think people are getting carried away here 'He did not beat Errol Spence Junior'.
