I got no issues with this fight. I rate Whyte much higher than most here. Both need a win badly & both will get paid handsomely. I think it’s a good fight. Whyte is a lot better now since they fought but I would expect Joshua to find Whyte much slower than Usyk & will catch up to him with a KO. Possibly an uppercut?

It could be worse at least these guys have a rivalry and they are both not far removed from title shots. It's a 50-50 at this point, I still favor Joshua as Whyte's chin is made from papier mache.

And it will sell. Not a great fight, but what do people expect after a couple of losses?

Thus, it's a waste .... unless Whyte decides not to "play along". They could even go fight Tony Yoka, but get a real opponent (who isn't and has never been on the payroll).

Would prefer Wallin, even though he is ranked lower than Whyte, just because Joshua has already beaten Whyte before. That said, Whyte is still a top 10 heavyweight. It's credible as a rebuild fight. Definitely better than Chisora or Helenius.

I dunno, maybe if Whyte wanted to hurt him for real this could sell. But it comes off as a safe, familiar opponent who will spar to help AJ heal.

I don't care for either fighter to be fair but as far as it being a watchable fight, I'd still watch it.

Whyte & Arreola are tough fights but very winnable. He will get a lot of hard rounds until he eventually scores the KO. End of the year he steps up for a big fight. You could probably throw in Zhang, Dubois or maybe even Joseph Parker instead of Arreola. There are some pretty good matchups that could be made while they all wait for Fury & Usyk.

It's underwhelming for me. I would have preferred Wallin, but I imagine the Swede might be too much risk for too little reward in comparison to Whyte.
I think Whyte in his prime was a dangerous opponent but I think he's a bit shopworn at this stage. I get that AJ needs an easier fight coming off two losses but I feel like there should have been more appealing options.MikeyG
