        It's been close for years.

I doubt it will ever happen.

Which just means he would have wanted a good payday. I don't understand why anyone ever made a fuss of this quote or even mentioned it twice. Joe was saying, if they were to fight, he wants paying well for it. Does that mean his intention was to avoid Jones? Nope. Let's not get carried away and get all ****ing ****** about it. Not saying you were getting ******, Shadows, but some people clearly do, assuming that, because Joe would have asked for an appropriate sum of money that somehow he was terrified Roy Jones. Joe Calzaghe was never scared of Roy ****ing Jones!

Where does it say that? According to articles I have, Joe was itching to get in the ring with Jones as far back as 2000.

"I'm a big Roy Jones fan and to be honest, he's the only guy in the world that I really don't want to fight. He seems to be the perfect fighter and you just can't hit the guy. Look at what Jones did to Richard Hall who then fights Dariuz Michaelczweski and bashes him up for 11 rounds. I like to watch Jones fight and see his moves. He carries an aura that he takes into the ring with him. It's 100 percent confidence and he knows he's going to win."

This fight does not need to happen. Totally pointless.

My point was to counter Ch@mp's that Jones said he didn't want to fight Calzaghe. I sometimes see moronic fans who say that Calzaghe would've easily school him, and that the quote I used, and the parts I didn't use, showed that Calzaghe didn't share the same opinion.

I basically brought it up to make his moot, and wasn't intended to offend or slag off Calzaghe.

And I believe that Jones wasn't scared of Calzaghe and vice versa.
