Im a fan of Bud and I think this a low backdoor move by TC, he had to know while telling us a pile of BS, if Spence broke the negotiation like this Id been on him just the same.

Yes, I'm with you there. Not that there's necessarily anything fundamentally wrong with that though - professional boxing is a business, a dirty, brutal one at that - Crawford gotta look out for himself first and last. But don't blame Spence for the fight not happening.

I don't see this as a duck from TC. He wanted even $$ and PBC offers way less. TC gets better offer and takes it. Most people here would do the same thing if they were in TCs shoes.

What successful PPV has PBC ever put on that didn't involve Mayweather,Wilder Fury(ESPN co promotion),or Canelo? They offer more poor ppv cards than any other promoter in boxing and want people to pay 80$ for them. Their coffers are running low and every decent fight they put on has to be ppv. As far as ppv #s,TR gave TC poor opponents for ppv matchups.Then you had to go through the ESPN+ app to get to those. I still don't blame TC for signing w Top Rank as they offered guaranteed high paying fights while the guys at PBC are divvying up hot dog sales to reach lower paydays. It's a no brainer.

I want to see the TC ES fight as much as anyone. IMOP it's one of the few fights actually worth paying for. What PBC should do is offer an even up contract. ES resume' and ppv #s aren't so great either. Yes he has more belts,but going through Ugas(a good not great fighter) who beat a faded Pac to get the last one wasn't impressive.

The bottom line is no one here has any idea what was in the contract offered to TC. But if 65/35 was written in I don't blame TC for turning it down. Spence Ugas was 1.5 mil for spence,1 mil to Ugas with 50/50 ppv split. TC should receive no less than a 55-45 flat split with a 50/50 ppv split. Treat the man respectfully and he will respond in kind. BTW,I see this as an even fight with a slight edge to Spence. I like both fighters and believe this and the Bieterbev/Bivol fight are the two best fights to be made in boxing. Let's hope they both get over the hump. Peace out everyone.

The bottom line is Team Crawford wants guaranteed money like they received from Top rank but the PBC doesn't do guarantees. They only do percentages. The have a total different business model because Al Haymon is not a promoter. Therefore, the fighters have to bet on themselves in order to get the money they want through the percentages of the PPV sales and live gate.

I don't wanna hear about more money bs 4 mill compared to 8 mill whatever there comes a point where the sport also matters and the best fight the best create a legacy an event to remember and to test your skills find out how good you really are
