      Quite simple.

This just further shows how far Boxing has fallen as a sport.

It’s in the worst shape it’s ever been.
Louis is famous for his "bum of the month" club and Ali defended his titles against Chuvalo, London, Wepner, Coopman, etc.

Hipsters like you are funny, stop pretending you know the sport.

This is a wake up call to hypocritical fan bases.
Leaves them no room to criticize ANY fight.

Bud vs Horn 2 would make as much sense

Big difference here is that fighters were fighting 3 or 4 times a year Ali for example fought 17 times between 1972-1975 in the modern day era the best fight once or 2 times a year at best on average and when those match ups are like this trilogy it's bs stop defending this garbage and being part of the problem

Some of those fighters you mentioned were in the Top 10 when they happened, some even Top 5.

And even if they’re weren’t, you’re attempting to justify a terrible fight with other terrible fights.

This fight is a joke. It is what is is, I like Fury but that’s his M.O. A good fight usually followed by a joke of a fight.

Fury fans can NEVER call another fight an unnecessary mismatch for as long as they're logged in.

Saw this thread is still on the first page and felt inclined to reiterate how **** this fight is. What a **** fight. Pretended to want AJ and gave him 24 hrs to sign a ****ty contract but gave Chisora all the time in the world. Had his bluff called by AJ but got lucky that Hearn didn't want the fight either. The worst thing about this is, Fury wanted to fight Charr but couldn't justify such a ****ty opponent he had to get someone slightly less ****.

In his case, it's not one good fight, then a shyt fight, then another good fight, then a shyt fight and so on.

His M.O. is 2-3 years of shyt fights or 'tune ups' if you wanna call it that, and then, MAYBE a good fight. He's been doing this his entire career. Him fighting a top or even a topish fighter is an anomaly.

His resume is only a little better than Wilder's, with Wlad fight being the difference.

He's a conman. This circus he pulled with 'wanting' to fight Joshua only to end up giving a payday to his pal, Chisora, proves that.

                      Incorrrect. You said:

This just further shows how far Boxing has fallen as a sport.
Chuvalo was somehow ranked top 10 with 11 losses at the time of fighting Ali, he filled a similar role to Chisora in his era as a gatekeeper.

But he defended his world titles against far inferior competition than Chisora like Wepner, Coopman, Dunn, etc.

The former worked as a liquor salesman during his career, yet hipsters like you would claim it was the golden era

So your statement is incorrect. HW champions taking smaller fights in between the big ones is historically normative.

Moreover, the onus is on you to suggest an alterative opponent available for Dec 3 higher ranked than Chisora.

Usyk and GayJ said no. Ruiz, Ortiz and Joyce just fought. Good luck.
