Might be true but don't you think it's funny when fighters talk all this smack about how they're going to whip, destroy, punish, knock out their opponents only to go in there to Jab, move, pit, pat, hug their way to victory? Haney and Shields are prime examples of that right now and a guy by the name of Mayweather made a living of that....

I think it is worse in women's boxing. A true puncher cannot get to the opponent as well with two minute rounds and 10 round championship fights... I felt really bad for Nunez because of this. It makes a big difference for Marshall as well.

Think shields is right, maybe three rounds at most to Marshall. She was just plodding forward with no intelligent pressure. She was missing loads of shots even when shields was on ropes. Looked shocked with no plan.

I think it’s true the announcers made it seem more close than what it was Shields dominated even when she was on the ropes.. Marshall started too slow and is just not as good as a fighter as Shields in my opinion, respect to both women they put on a helluva match!!

On another note them rounds were mad short!! Every time they started to battle hard the bell would ring, should definitely do 3 minute rounds

Not a Shields fan here but I have to admit I was impress by the class and respect she showed in post fight ... Maybe there's hope for saving her soul ...

I gave Marshall 3 rounds ... Her only advantage went flat against a much more skilled fighter ... Still Shields hardest fight to date, so I wouldn't mind a rematch since the pool is so thin in W Boxing...

Agree. It felt about 7-3 although wasn't scoring it carefully. Marshall has some power but it was very evident Shields had the advantages in hand speed and explosive movement. I wouldn't mind seeing them run it back at some point, it was entertaining for me.

97-93 or 96-94 at the most. Shields dominated until the 7th round where she either got tired or got a bit sloppy and foolishly gave rounds away laying on the ropes. I had shields winning that last round though.

There are a lot of people who give license to male boxers to do and say whatever they want in promoting their bout. But for some reason attack female boxers for the same behavior. Maybe some people just prefer watching two really fit dudes sweat all over each other. If that’s your thing, I’m cool with that…
