I find Caleb Plant very easy to hate. He's a pretty good boxer but just tremendously unlikeable.Comment

While Bread is a good trainer, this just looked like the same Plant when he fights less than stellar opposition. Not to say anything bad about Dirrell but when Plant was fighting the Mike Lee's of the world and other lower opposition he lets his hands go a bit more in combinations and fights the way we saw tonight.Comment

I didn't find this fight "unremarkable" like the writer. A fight doesn't necessarily have to feature a lot of action in order to be compelling. It had a lot of tense action, some roughhouse antics, and the bad blood was evident throughout. You could sense something dramatic might happening.Comment

Huh? I never want to talk trash and be disrespectful to other boxing fans but Outwest?!?!........ Plant probably fought Canelo and Dirrell the same way. The difference was.... Dirrell is not Canelo?!?! He fought like such a *****? I apologize in advance but, I'm going to assume that you are a child? If not, I am truly sorry. Plant fought well against Canelo. Plant just has no real punching power that could hold off the top of the division. The difference is, pound for pound king and unified champion Saul Alverez has a chin, and washed up, mediocre, 38 year old Dirrell doesn't? Boxing math should NEVER be used but remember when Canelo routed Yildirim in 3 and Yildrim quit? and Dirrell went an ugly 10, split headbutt with Yildrim? There are levels to this. Dirrell is no where near Canelo's level but....Plant fought like such a ***** with Canelo?!?!? There was a risk of being knocked out by Canelo and no risk of being knocked out by Dirrell, styles make fights.Comment
