And what about Cotto? Not a good Welter anymore...what happen to the chants on any true welter weight whooping Mayweather's ass? I guess Cotto is shot now because he barely got by Clottey with one eye and lost to a guy with loaded gloves.

Its always something....it doesn't matter who Mayweather fights, its never good enough.

Fact is, the winner of Pac- Cotto will be the big mega fight no matter what. I'd like to see Mayweather fight Mosely as well but he has to get inline. Call it 'ducking' if you will.
Even though I don't like Floyd, I try to be real and narrow it down to the guys who I really think pose a threat to him unlike almost everybody else does. I think Williams and Mosley are the dude's only threats. I've lost interest in a Cotto-Mayweather fight since Cotto got beat down by Margarito. I've always thought both Cotto and Floyd are to blame for the fight not happening anyway. But Mosley has wanted to fight Floyd now that De La Hoya is out of the picture. Can't say the same about Floyd.

Barely, but you're missing two things. The Pac/Hatton was during a recession, and neither Pac or Hatton are from the U.S.

What I mean is that destroying Margarito the way he did was way more impressive than Mayweather beating on an inflated 126 lber in JMM even though JMM is a better fighter skill wise. That is why you can't throw that card on the table of Mosley chasing smaller guys like Floyd is because he has already came to the table for Berto and Clottey and those fights didn't work out which had more to do with HBO. Floyd won't even entertain the thought of fighting a Welterweight. But my question for you is do you think that Mayweather's victory over JMM was more impressive than Mosley's destruction of Margarito?
I definitely feel like the Margarito win for Mosley held more
weight than Floyd win over JMM. But you have to take into
consideration that Floyd set himself up for the next biggest
fight which is the winner of Cotto/Pac and Mosley didnt do
nothing with after the greatest win of his career? What part
of the game is that? But I have a feeling after that Mosley
bum rush on Floyd that them guys may possibly fight next.
Kind of ironic how Triple H was in the ring at the time that
WWE confrontation took place. It was funny for Floyd to
say to Mosley, "We playing basketball?" Just seems like a
page taken out of the WWE hand book.

        • If I'm being honest I was impressed although I knew it was a good chance that would happen.

Fair enough. Now my second question for you is who do you think deserves to fight the big names more (Cotto and Pacquiao)? Mosley or Mayweather? Remember that you earlier pointed out Mosley of chasing a smaller guy in Pacquiao but failed to mention that comparison I just pointed out on top of Mosley's efforts to fight Clottey and Berto. And at least Mosley has acknowledged Paul Williams while Floyd said on B-Talk, "Who is Paul Williams?"

            • i will tell you floyd is great.
but he wont beat shane mosley and he knows it.
floyd pot shots one at a time and gets out.
he cant do that against shanes speed, footwork and power.

speed? Floyd is much faster and a way better, accurate
counter puncher than Cotto. I like and think Mosley is a
great fighter to watch but I feel Floyd beats him comfortably.
Floyd doesn't fight like Cotto, his play it safe style will cause him to have trouble with Shane's pressure and sheer force alone, which is a reason I want to see how Floyd handles Shane.

Well........ I feel Mosley definitely deserves a shot at
Cotto/Pac BUT didnt he already have a crack at an undefeated
Miguel Cotto and came up short? Floyd accomplished a lot and
left his P4P status to Pac so one can argue that Floyd should
get an opportunity to take it back PLUS people want to see
Pac/Floyd or Floyd/Cotto IF Cotto wins. Mosley unfortunately
is not in demand amongst the big money fighters. Mosley could
have done more to make a Berto or Clottey match happen but he
was so busy chasing Pac and Floyd.

I think the only true threat out there is Williams. I'm fan of Mayweather but i keep things in prospective. Cotto is just a big a threat as Mosely is, i wouldn't put one up higher than the other. however, i don't think either as a fave to beat Mayweather. Actually, I think Mayweather would beat either opponent comfortably. However, Williams, is the true threat here....his height reach and non-stop punching would give Mayweather the most problems of the three. Williams non-stop punching would put Floyd into a Defensive shell.

But people forget that Floyd adjusts in the ring according to
who he is fighting. Mosley got out boxed by Miguel Cotto.
What I have learned by watching Mosley is that he doesnt
have much success against Boxers who can work the ring
and keep a jab in his face. Mosley likes to stand and brawl.
he wouldnt be able to load up and land effectively on Floyd
and I can guarantee that. Floyd even said after watching
Mosley/Vargas go at it that Mosley swings too wide and he
wouldnt be a problem to handle. Even though Mosley dominated
Margarito he still looked a lil sluggish at times. He is only
fast against slower fighters. While anything can happen
on fight night, I just dont see Mosley beating Floyd but
would love to see them in the ring together.
