Shane went, what, six years without a stoppage. He couldn't stop David Estrada, Jose Luis Cruz, Luis Collazo or Miguel Cotto. He came two seconds from going the distance with Mayorga in a close fight. Let me repeat that: Shane was in a close fight with Ricardo Mayorga. But Shane is suddenly some monster?

Great win by Shane over Margarito. But do you think any other top welterweight eats 150 right hands all night? The same punch over and over?

Both Oscar and Tito stopped Mayorga by the middle rounds. Oscar and Tito hurt Vargas much worse than Shane. Zab Judah hurt Cotto worse than Shane.


I would definitely suggest some perspective on Shane's monstrous one-punch power.

Let's get this straight! I'm talking about this fight! Not Floyds career! Even tho we can get into that too! Let me see it from your side, Floyd came up gradually over years, fighting less than great opposition! Did Floyd at anytime during his weight class jumps fight the best fighter in the sport? Or who was even considered the best fighter in the sport? No! Marquez came up for one fight at a weight he'd never fought before against the best fighter in the game! That's what you're saying right? You're making my point for me! Marquez didn't have a chance! Just admit it! And since we're on forgetting! Do you forget that Floyd only beat Oscar by 1 point! He didn't dominate or even look good doing! And to date it's his signature win! And that's not hate! That's fact! And let's stay recent! For his belts at 140 and 147. Mosley is not tied up like those guys are. And he is the bigger threat anyway. Cotto has been a question mark here lately. He barely got by Clottey while Mosley destroyed Margarito who in turn had beat Clottey more convincingly than Cotto did. Clottey had to deal with injuries against both Margarito and Cotto so it evens out (Cotto hurt him intentionally, Margarito's hard head hurt Clottey). If Mayweather does wait for the Pacquiao-Cotto winner, then that's taking the path of least resistance.

So now, the only way Mayweather can be given credit is if he only fights Mosely? I thought Pacman was the best there is, isn't he ranked #1? Is he the so called "king" whom would whoop Mayweather with his huge power and relentless attack from awkward angles?

And what about Cotto? Not a good Welter anymore...what happen to the chants on any true welter weight whooping Mayweather's ass? I guess Cotto is shot now because he barely got by Clottey with one eye and lost to a guy with loaded gloves.

Its always something....it doesn't matter who Mayweather fights, its never good enough.

Fact is, the winner of Pac- Cotto will be the big mega fight no matter what. I'd like to see Mayweather fight Mosely as well but he has to get inline. Call it 'ducking' if you will.
