Juan Manuel Marquez Wants a Ricky Hatton Showdown

The name Juan Manuel Marquez is thinking about at the moment is Ricky Hatton. Marquez gave an honest effort during last Saturday's decision loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr. in Las Vegas. Marquez is the current holder of the WBO/WBA lightweight titles. He would like to drop down to 140-pounds and land a fight with Hatton. [details]

Great fight for JMM. Unless he is totally shot he eats Hatton alive. Hope it happens.

I would love to see this fight and both can retire after. I believe JMM would beat him

Sounds like the perfect fight for JMM.

Marquez but UD or possible late stoppage...

I'd say UD...I still don't know if Marquez can fight at 140...he doesn't appear to carry this extra weight well...

          Then again, Hatton aint Floyd...

I don't think Marquez is shot. He really didn't take much damage against Floyd compared to other fights I've seen him in.

Very good fight. Marquez should come in at 138, and on fight night weigh no more than 142.

JMM can handle either one of them.

Its more the weight I am concerned about. He looked blown up bigtime against Floyd. As fighters get older moving around in weight so much can have a significant impact. Also, JMM has been in plenty of really tough fights. I just hope he has enough left to get a win over Hatton before he is done, he deserves it.

I think it would be great if he fought Pac one more time before he calls it. I don't think Pac is getting by Cotto.
