    [Masterthread] Mayweather Prime Call-Outs Timeline

    2001

    2002
Post-fight Castillo 1 calls out Castillo for a rematch on his own accord without pressure. Post-fight Castillo 2 calls out Stevie, Lazcano.

    2003
Post-fight Ndou calls out said they reached out to Freitas, Lazcano, Casamayor and none of them wanted the fight. Calls out Gatti so he can get on PPV.

    2005

    2009

    Shane ducking Floyd in 2008

    TL;DR

Floyd went after big names in their prime, it's not his fault Top Rank was unable or refused to make those fights. Floyd did his part.

So are you going to ignore the facts? Before Floyd became the payday, he was avoided the same way you all claim Benavidez is, the difference is he was willing to move up for better fights rather than sit around and beg Oscar or Mosley for a payday like Benavidez is waiting for a Canelo payday

I'm not making anything up though and everything I've said is fact. Feel free to refute anything I've said. This is a forum after all. I laid out a lot of data, why not prove your point?

Of course he will. As soon as he sends in another post it's going to get overwhelmed with facts.

Roy, out of his own mouth, saying that Oscar or Mosley fighting a blown up 140lber is too dangerous.

The folks that deny Floyd's greatness are clowns. End of story.

Exactly, that was a dangerous Floyd. I never rated Benavidez.

who said he wasn't a good fighter? said he wouldn't survive ray leonard and hearns at 147 with orthopedic gloves, should have defended the 154 belts vs pime lara, not maidana.

Should never have been at WW, only went there for the money and big fights but its not Floyds best weight, fighters that survived Ray and Tommy at WW, could Floyd beat those guys, Floyd gets written off so easy in talk but was never written off in the ring, only in fan talk, I just see the irony of Manny never gets a mention in great WW fights although fighting there for the majority of his career because he was a little WW, I get it, but I also see the bias and special rules when it comes to Mayweather. The guy was a atg fighter and I hate rating them because they are the greatest in history, I see it as a group not one or two guys, a group that's hard to call on their best nights.

You're not pot-shotting those guys for 12 rounds. You need to re-review Leonard vs Hearns I and Leonard vs FMW Sr. Show me one getting rounds in those fights being economical and winning rounds with a pot shots b/c their hands were bad.

I don't think you fully understand Floyds full arsenal, its way way more than pot-shoting, if that's all Floyd had he would have been beaten a number of times; his biggest asset is his ability to be able to adapt to the situation, his control of range and pace is so subtle and smooth, you're not seeing the complete package of what Floyd can do, which explains a lot of what you say.

I don't think he could beat Hearns or Ray because they are too big, no other reason, if they were all 135-140 pounders I would back Floyd to UD them. as I said Manny is not in these convos because he small, Floyd is also small compared to full blown WWs.
