I say the same thing about Plant. He literally moves and postures like a brother. I was rooting for him against Canelo. I think if he gets another crack at Canelo, he will go the 12 rounds and I’d give him a shot at beating Canelo.
Problem is, he’s got his eyes on Benavidez and as much as I’m not a fan of Benavidez, Plant will not be able to stick & move for 12 rounds vs Benavidez.

That said, this will be a wide UD win for Plant. At 38 years old and at 168, Dirrell’s leg will fail him.

Caleb comes from a long line of great white slap boxers going back to philadelphia jack o'brien, tommy loughran and slapsie maxie rosenbloom. These were guys that couldn't crack an egg, but could run and slap all night long.

Knowing Dirrell is a bit long in the tooth, he is still a very good boxer that knows how to put on measured pressure. If he can find Plant, not get lazy and let his hands go, he is a live underdog. If he gets old overnight and can't pull the trigger, Plant will probably outbox him to a decision.

Unfortunately, I think that Dirrell has a serious chance to win this fight because Plant doesn't have enough power to get him out of there, and Anthony will keep coming if he doesn't fear your punches. He knows how to make boxers fight his fight, and Plant doesn't have a great gas tank. Plant puts his punches together well, and has good movement, but can also be passive to a fault. I stated unfortunately because if Dirrell wins, it would put him in position for Benavidez, Charlo, or Morrell and he will get destroyed.

Canelo never left 2nd gear against Plant. It is a complete fallacy that that fight was close. Plant has plenty left to beat Dirrell convincingly though.

The fight wasn’t close, I don’t disagree. The bottom line is, Plant went 11 rounds with his style against a bullish Canelo and Bivol’s win against Canelo has opened up something. We saw it in the GGG fight.
I’m not saying Canelo’s been exposed, just saying Canelo is not the same fighter of a year ago.

Canelo is not fighting Bivol again nor is he fighting Benavidez so if Plant gets a huge win, it’s more likely he gets a rematch with Canelo.

Once you have watched more than 5 fights in your life maybe you will realize where a fighter comes from HAS NOTHING to do with who wins! It's the skills and desire that matters and propels fighters. Consider yourself properly schooled now from someone who has seen more than 8 thousand fights over 25 years.
