The truth is a lot of heavyweights simply aren't available. Fury, Joshua, and Usyk are all putting themselves on the shelf right now so they're a no go. Ruiz and Ortiz just fought 2 months ago and Joyce last month so those 3 aren't options either and so Helenius is really the only option. It's still not a good fight and most definitely not PPV.

    Main Card
    • Deontay Wilder vs. Robert Helenius, 12 rounds, heavyweights
    Undercard
    • Caleb Plant vs. Anthony Dirrell, 12 rounds, super middleweights
    • Gary Antonio Russell vs. Emmanuel Rodriguez, 12 rounds, bantamweights
    • Frank Sanchez vs. Carlos Negron, 10 rounds, heavyweights
    • Vito Mielnicki Jr. vs. Limberth Ponce, 8 rounds, junior middleweights
    • Michel Rivera vs. Jerry Perez, 8 rounds, lightweights
    • Gurgen Hovhannisyan vs. Michael Coffie, 8 rounds, heavyweights
    • Michael Angeletti vs. Jeremy Adorno, 6 rounds, junior featherweights
    • Keeshawn Williams vs. Julio Rosa, 6 rounds, welterweights
    • Geovany Bruzon vs. James Evans Jr., 4 rounds, heavyweights
    • Miguel Roman vs. Jose Negrete, 4 rounds, junior featherweights

They had calls from Matchroom which they have openly admitted to not even picking up the phone to.

They just wanted this fight. Really is as simple as that, it made sense for them. Let's not pretend otherwise.
