Lyle, you should've gone to a hotel if the outage was gonna cause you to write stuff like this.

You made clickbait the day's headline. Using the partisan Wilder/Fury fanbases to spark debate and draw viewership just wreaks of desperation.

You should've thought of a headline to drum up interest in this weekend's events rather than plaster this site with some nonsense it took you ten minutes to write.

You seem to forget who pays you to keep those lights on.

      Boxing "journalist."

Gatti is in part of one of if not THE most memorable trilogies in history even none boxing fans know about this trilogy, the mark the two respective men left on the sport in undeniable.

He summed up Wilder when he said about him coming unstuck against Fury the first guy he faced who had actually beat a reigning defending champion who'd actually defend said title(s).

And also how he'd actively avoided anyone with a pulse like AJ, Vitali, Wlad so on and so forth.

Now he's lost he might take risks but that's not really being the "warrior" he likes to sell himself as now is it!?

And let's be honest the Fury trilogy was dog shít and pretty one sided apart from KDs, we just haven't had a decent one since Holyfield Bowe, so the scraps we do get are considered "great" when they truly aren't.

Wilder would destroy Holyfield, Bowe, Tyson, and Holmes. Take off the nostalgic glasses you chump. Cash in

So I respect your opinion about Wilder being a shoe in for the Hall of Fame, I actually thought he was headed in that direction.
Then he got knocked out twice by Fury, in vicious fashion so I don't know what he can do to get him back on track as far as I'm concerned.

If Holmes can get up from a Shavers bomb then Wilder wouldn’t be a problem.

Holyfield couldn’t be kept down unless his heart was failing him. Five times the fighter Wilder is IMHO.

Tyson would swarm Wilder and chop him down from
a space where Deontays one weapon is useless.

I don't understand how people see the Fury vs Wilder trilogy as great either. People saw the word "trilogy" and automatically said it was a amazing rivalry when there was none.

If there was a specific criteria for a fighter to get into the hall of fame, only then can people with certainty deny a fighter.

But there is no real criteria or specific standard. So really any fighter who has held a World Title and has been in big fights, could potentially become a Hall of Fame fighter.

Deontay Wilder was the WBC World Heavyweight Champion, and achieved 10 successful defenses in a total of 12 World Championship fights.

The era is clearly weak if a guy who’s twerking gave him his slogan ”bum squad” is HOF material. He only beat hot dog vendors, an online troll and a senior citizen from Cuba. The only world class fighter he fought beat him from pillar to post. Who is impressed by that? Hands up

I usually ignore Fitzsimmons’ columns - and I wish I hadn’t deviated from my usual routine by reading this nonsensical one.
