    PED's

I know this may be Extremely controversial but do we really want to clean the sport up? If it's true that 80/90% of elite fighter are on some form of PED's imagine how talentless the sport would look removing all those fighters.

There's literally whole divisions with only 2 or 3 fighters that you can consider elite. Would our new Standard of elite be idk European level? Would we still even watch?

peds certainly make some better but u have to have a level playing field and its dangerous too, there will always be top guys, just clean top guys if they test right all the time as they should do

The thing is according to many in the know , 8 or 9 out of 10 guys are on PED's . That's like saying look at all the top 10 list in every division and remove 8 or 9 of em .

As it is I already think boxing lacks talent and if it's true that many are on the stuff idk if boxing would have enough talent left. I used to be so against PED's cause I want to know who truly is the best on an equal playing field. Who likes cheaters you know?

BUT if they ALL on it ? Then what the heck

yeah and 'it' varies too, from weight loss helpers, to the stuff say BJS was caught for, legal in one jurisdiction & banned in another to nelos clen which can be found in meat etc, whole range of substances that can boost performance, id personally say the majority of guys are/have been on something at some stage to build themselves up, the temptation and money rewards are too great to resist at times i would say

It’s important to remember PED’s don’t improve ability or skill set they just improve physical attributes. It could actually lead to more exciting fights. Fighters would not hit as hard but they’d in turn likely be able to take more shots. A slower pace in fights could lead to a higher quality exchanges too. Not saying this would necessarily be the case but I don’t think boxing without PED’s would hurt the quality of the sport. The vast majority of elite fighters would still be elite fighters.

plus a lot of close fights are determined by the championship rounds, whoever fights them best/strongest often wins so a lot of these boosters target endurance, like cyclists who need that, u are on the right peds u will finish strongest in a lot of cases

Regarding PEDs in the sport...the fight that comes to mind for me is the final installment of the Pacquiao/Marquez series. I suspect both were juiced to gills, certainly Marquez. I remember him looking massive in there.

Just stop drug testing and let people take whatever they want. They are doing it anyways.

Most people dont even understand what is happening. First if you remember balco and Mosley, those guys never failed a single test, they only saw their names on the books after they raided balco headquarters.

If you look at recent example with Benn, you realize they didnt actually pop him for steroids (the actual Performance enhancer), he got caught with the estrogen blocker you take at the tale end of the cycle. So whatever testing was done if any during the training camp... he passed all of those while he was taking the actual steroids. He only got caught on the very end. Its like driving 100 miles speeding the whole time and only getting pulled over the final mile, you almost got away with it.

So this whole who failed a test and who passed the test is pointless meaningless argument, they are all on PEDs and 99% of the time they pass the testing.

They had every sign of PED use there, mass gain, enlarged traps and delts. Back acne, giant heads. Everything. They both passed all their PED testing.

So just stop testing its pointless.

Boxing is an endurance sport, Its more intense in this aspect than all the big sports out there, even soccer. You are 3 minutes on, 1 minute off, for 47 minutes straight. If you arent on PEDs for endurance like EPO, Cardarine and whatever other chit that is out there that the general public never heard of, you will NOT be competitive at the elite level.
