Well Canelo had 3 chances to KO GGG
    Didn't happen
Benavidez might lose by decision but never by Canelo's KO
Yeah cause GGG is easy to knock out. Oh wait.. Easy to knock down. Oh wait… he’s never even been knocked down, ever.

In a couple of years, maybe sooner, he will have another benavidez, faster and with much better skills lurking around those 168/175 division, I'm talking about Morell Jr. I think that next year if benavidez stay at 168, he will be fighting the Cuban, maybe sooner if they get rid of shields. Be safe.
i say after the Bivol rematch (assuming he beats Zurdo) the Benavides fight goes down.

Who has Canelo KO'd that was his size and mattered?

It's guaranteed that Canelo doesn't come close to knocking Benavidez out. Even if Benavidez was drained and sabotaged. Smith and Chavez were sabotaged. Canelo didn't come close to doing so. Golovkin was shot last time out. Guess what, Canelo never came close to doing so. Hell, even a shot and smaller Cotto didn't come close to getting stopped. None of these were even knocked down or rocked.

said from the cozy confines of oakland, CA USA.

remember the series making of the super 6 where the tournament almost fell apart because dan goosen refused to allow ward to fight anywhere other than oakland or Vegas. all on camera.

the goosens protected this clown to the fullest and what did ward do.....sued the goosens while dan was dying

ward is a punk ass *****

Smith was at his worst when Canelo fought him though. Canelo wanted nothing to do with him until he had the bad showing against Ryder. Then Smith only got a few weeks to train to weaken him further.

That is not a prime opponent. Sorry.

Like Canelo, but ive been saying this for years. But then again, its boxing. The deceptive matchmaking in the sport is real. Rarely does ANYONE nowadays fight ANYBODY that is dangerous BUT ALSO in their prime. Just look at the situation with Jose Ramirez now calling Regis Prograis name, when he couldve fought Regis 3-4 yrs ago, before Taylor even thought about Regis. Fury/Wilder 1-3 were great fights but we were all looking for Wilder v AJ. (Please dont talk bout who’s to blame, BOXING IS) Never got it. Boxing continues to shoot itself in the foot.
Taylor fought Regis 3 years ago. But they were thinking about each other clearly before that as they were in a tournament together.

Fights don't happen when a coward knows he can't win. They shut the fight down from happening. They'll tell their followers they want the fight. But they're not smart enough to be anywhere near convincing. They want them at their weakest. But this has been going on for many decades. And they all come from one part of the world.

Many fighters have beaten better fighters than Canelo has. But fighters can only take on those who are in or near their weight classes.

Ward simply didn’t have the drawing power Canelo does so he had to take the best money fights available but his arrogance bit him in the a5s a few times like when he refused to fight Bute (who was a huge draw in Quebec at the time) after winning the Super Six. He felt Bute avoided the tourney to keep cashing in on lesser opposition in Canada. Instead Froch fought Bute & destroyed him to earn another title. He then went on to big money fights with Kessler & Groves in stadiums. Too bad Ward/Froch 2 never happened.
Bute was in fact never invited to the tournament. But when Taylor walked away, Bute was invited to take his place. They had to ask the fighters if they were alright with this development. All fighters apart from one agreed to have Bute participate. Can you guess who the fighter was who threatened to walk should Bute be allowed to enter?

Froch also wanted the rematch. But in order to shut it down as he didn't want to travel (Ward was the only Super six fighter to not travel) he asked for it to be held at Wembley. This was of course before fights started taking place there. He was offered millions to have it in a smaller stadium in Nottingham but did everything to make sure it didn't happen. Froch then went on to make millions against the best while Ward fought bums.

There’s no doubt that Ward would have schooled Canelo had they fought but given how Canelo has been carefully matched moving up, I don’t think Canelo would have ever fought him
Canelo has fought more champions, more elite fighters and more ATG than Ward.

Ward was damn good but he didn't fight enough. Dudes is sounding bitter and jealous when it comes to Clenelo.

Canelo is getting bashed for fighting euro stiff dudes at 168 but that is basically what Ward career is made of, his best wins being Kessler, Froch and Kovalev.

What is Kessler clame to fame? Winning 3 round against Calzaghe, beating Markus Beyer or being 1-1 vs Froch?

Ward does NOT have the record to bash Canelo's...

And YES I would favor prime Ward to beat Canelo but mainly because Canelo is a smaller fighter coming from lower divisions...
Canelo started at 147 while Ward started at 160 as a pro..and was a 180 lbs fighter in the olympics

They also started their careers at Welterweight and Ray went to Light heavyweight where Tommy went all the way to Crusierweight. Then you have guys like Duran and Floyd Mayweather who started at a lower weight but however was still able to go through 5 divisions or so. I love Andre and he beat some good undefeated guys in there prime but he didn’t beat a who’s who name wise either.
Leonard never fought at LH. He did fight a LH who was badly drained to 167 in Lalonde though.
