So do the more serious Pinoy fans, the ones who understand boxing. They're rooting for Pac, but they don't take it for granted that he'll win at all.

Arum did hit the nail on the head in one respect, though, when he said Pac's biggest advantage is that he's got Roach in his corner, who is a great strategist; and Cotto has nowhere near such a good corner.

Well said..PACQUIAO is not taking Cotto lightly, all the comments about PAC/MAYWEATHER is coming from the media and fight fans that are thirsting for a PAC/MAYWEATHER match up. For two reasons, both held the number 1 lb4lb ranking, and both fought DLH and HATTON. With that said, if PACQUIAO gets past COTTO, a fight with MAYWEATHER would be more difficult. For the reason that MAYWEATHER is more elusive, way better defensively, his chin has not been tested, and faster than COTTO. Like i said in the past COTTO'S best chances is in the early rounds, the further it gets to the LATER rounds, PACQUIAO's chances increases. One its because COTTO can't seem to catch him with solid shots, two PACQUIAO is taking Cotto's punches well. With that said, the first fighter to land a solid shot to the chin will win the fight. I'll be biased and say PACQUAIO has the slight edge cause of his speed. Pacquiao's punching speed will be coming from all angles, not straight up in front of your face punching speed like MOSLEY. PACQUIAO's style will be the mixture of how he fought DLH and HATTON..move in and out side to side, but will throw more sledge hammers to test COTTO'S chin (in my opinion is not as strong as people think it is) Will it surprise me if COTTO wins, HELL NO, but i like my boy PACQUIAO's chances. Call me a fool, but I already heard that before the DLH AND HATTON fights. We all know what happened there.

In my opinion...PACQUIAO is the underdog, but will come out as the TOP DOG once again.

I think this is one time in Cotto's career where he can't allow the other guy to back him up. Of course he couldn't do it against Margarito. But if he doesn't beat Pacman impressively, he isn't going to get the decision. I think Arum will make sure of that. Cotto ended up playing himself and whoring himself to Arum just for the sake of a Pacquiao fight. He talked about how much he didn't trust Arum because of the Margarito fiasco, and now he is signing a contract with him for a money fight.

I can see it now, Pac getting hurt in training postponing the fight and then sign to fight Floyd. Why roll the dice with Cotto if you can make millions more fighting Floyd. Floyd will box and counterpunch Pac, after that perfomance from a two year layoff even if you don't like the guy you got to reconize a skilled performance(even though JMM was smaller you must take into account the two bouts he had against Pac).

Not to pile on here with the agreements, but it's time Floyd nuthuggers stop praising him just for his display of skill and start praising his heart and fighting spirit, which I along with a troth of other fans feels he either lacks or cares less to display.

His first tune up bout could have been against a Luiz Collazo or Berto, instead he fought a great little man and purposely avoided coming in on the agreed weight (just my opinion). I'm tired of these ****ing catch weight exhibition circus bouts. It seems those who love Floyd defend style over subtance. Floyd needs to start fighting in his own division because this act has grown tiresome, if he can't do that just have another exhibition bout with Henry Bruseles with Shambe Mitchell as the ref.

If Pacquiao doesn't fight Mayweather and tries to play hardball in negotiations it is going to make it look like he is not confident he can beat Floyd. But two things need to happen to spark my interest in that fight. I need to see Pacquiao destroy, and I mean destroy Cotto. And I also need to see how each PPV does. Seeing JMM get dissected the way he did only made me lose interest in a Pacquiao-Mayweather fight. Everybody on this site including me wants to see Mayweather fight Mosley who is a more proven Welter except Horus.
