I think Cotto has a very good chance.

So do the more serious Pinoy fans, the ones who understand boxing. They're rooting for Pac, but they don't take it for granted that he'll win at all.

Arum did hit the nail on the head in one respect, though, when he said Pac's biggest advantage is that he's got Roach in his corner, who is a great strategist; and Cotto has nowhere near such a good corner.

And on top of that, Mosley will be easier to negotiate with as I said before.
          Co sign.

I will NOT...and WILL NOT be confirmed until Mayweather beats shane and the winner of pac/cotto.Then he will earn all of my respect. It all boils to those4.Anyone else does not matter from a money and public perspective view.

Money talks and Pac vs PBF is where the money is.
Cotto is going to have to win this fight if he ever wants to be treated like he's a challenge again.

Am I reading this wrong... or is Manny Pacquiao asking for a tune-up before facing Mayweather?

                  Cotto gets no respect

It seems a lot of people are so looking forward to a Pac/Mayweather fight that they are looking past Cotto. Cotto is the biggest roadblock to their plan coming to fruition. Does Roach honestly think he has the harder puncher? Why, because Manny KOed Hatton? Mr. Magoo could hit Ricky Hatton. Because he beat up De La Hoya? Even Roach knows that Oscar was drained and had an IV in him right before the fight.

Cotto is not a weight drained guy or an overrated brawler. Pacquiao's best chance to win is to hit and move, in and out using hand and foot speed combined. If he tries to brawl with Cotto, Pacquiao will get hurt badly. If Margarito with loaded gloves could not knock out Cotto, what makes anyone think Pacquiao can?

Pacquiao may be the biggest money fight Mayweather can get, but Pacquiao's value will plummet after November 14th.

YOu read it wrong, PAC wants Floyd asap!!

But, Arum said in the article that(I'm paraphrasing) dealing with Floyd will take time and will want alot of $$$, so a PAC - Floyd showdown may not be realistic before the May '10 elections.

Arum stressed that while Mayweather “could look past the Juan Manuel Marquez fight Manny can’t look past Cotto.” He explained that the Puerto Rican star had lost only once to a guy (Antonio Margarito) who they think had his gloves loaded and he was beating him until towards the end.”

No one is looking past Cotto. Did anyone bother reading the article.
