Only fighter that i will not pick PACQUIAO as to having a chance at all is if he fought PAUL WILLIAMS. Mayweather can be beat, 40 tried and 40 failed, its because they were head hunting too much, you can't target MAYWEATHER'S head when he is on defense, to hit him in the face is when MAYWEATHER gets offensive. With that said, in my opinion, stiff jab him continously on his shoulder with a mix of bodyshots, when he gets out of his defensive mode and tries to counter is when you try to counter with a power punch. Jabbing him on his left shoulder will negate his shoulder roll and weaken his left hook and possibly piss him off to get him out of his defensive mode and get offensive. When MAYWEATHER is on the offensive side is when he is vulnerable the most.
i aint makin excuses. its just i hear too much talk of mayweather vs pacquiao. articles and interviews. **** the main blog on yahoo boxing says that mayweather vs pacquiao has to happen. did they forget pacquiao is fighting cotto? why couldnt they say the winner of pacquiao/cotto fight mayweather ?

Floyd will beat Paquiao convincingly in my opinion. Floyd in my opinion can do whatever Marquez can do at least 5 times better and I'm being modest here. Pacquiao had a hard time against Marquez skills at their best WEIGHT CLASS and he won 2 controversial DECISIONS and people think he can BEAT a guy with 5 times better skills than Marquez in HIS CURRENT BEST WEIGHT CLASS??????????
You can't put too much emphasis on who gave who a hard time. The difference between PACQUIAO and MARQUEZ is that in the past year PACQUIAO has gotten better. Also that PACQUIAO brought his speed and power with him in above 140, where MARQUEZ is slower and doesn't pack as much power as he did in the 130s. At this point, I wouldn't make a precise comment on how PACQUIAO will do against MAYWEATHER, until I see what PACQUIAO can do against COTTO. Mayweather was impressive, but the MARQUEZ that was highly regarded based on all around skills, didn't improve his speed, possibly even slower, and he didn't carry his power. Not taking anything from MAYWEATHER, but i wish he could have made the 144lb, the size difference in the ring was obvious. I don't think that the outcome would have been any different, but it would have been a little more competitive.

        I

I totally agree with you, but alot of fight fans and along with the media feedin the public. Its because people want to compare the two, both fought DLH AND HATTON and both held the pound 4 poundl number 1 fighter.

Money wise of course Pacquiao vs Floyd is the best fight, because the casual fans go with the hype, because they dont know much!!!!!

But Cotto-Mayewethr its the better match!!!!!

Plus they are counting cotto out of beating Pacquiao wich I think he will!!!!!

This is the sane situation of Trinidad-Hopkins and people selling Hopkins short because they wanted Tito vs ROy!!!!!!
just relax imo.....thats why its only opinions cuz pac coto fight is not over yet....how could be floyd vs cotto may the better match if pac beats cotto...
thats why every one wants pac-pbf cuz people wants to make history on the present....first for pac as the greatest fighter ever if he past cotto second is for the most anticapated fight ever two boxers reaching the very top level of the sport and for the ppv breaking fight....

Tune up for Pac. That doesn't suprise me. Arum has been talking about Valero vs Pac for a minute. He also has been talking about Cotto vs Margo at the Garden next June. I might sound crazy, but I really do believe that Arum wants Floyd to fight Shane first. He has always said that Floyd doesn't deserve Pac and Shane is a fighter he likes as a person and a boxer. Its all huge money in all of those fights besides Valero I believe

              Catch Weights

Remember how Pac agreed to fight DLH at 147 and dominted but wouldn't agree to the same deal with Cotto.I believe that at the weigh-in DLH came in at 145 and Pac at 144. At fight time DLH only gained two pounds over night. My question is if Pac knew he was fighting a game DLH would he have agreed to a 147lb limit. In my opinion, no. So why not fight Cotto at 147. Pac knows that Cotto is not the DLH that he fought. I still think Cotto is going to win and punish Paquiao. That's right, PUNISH. Pac is a great fighter but who has he fought that was an impressive fighter, the three Mexican brawlers? I'll give it to Pac, I won't be shocked if he beats Cotto (even though I think he's going to get punished). But even if he beats Cotto he' going to get waxed by PBF. Neither Cotto or Pac could beat Floyd. Floyd is straight nasty.

His first tune up bout could have been against a Luiz Collazo or Berto, instead he fought a great little man and purposely avoided coming in on the agreed weight (just my opinion). I'm tired of these ****ing catch weight exhibition circus bouts. It seems those who love Floyd defend style over subtance. Floyd needs to start fighting in his own division because this act has grown tiresome, if he can't do that just have another exhibition bout with Henry Bruseles with Shambe Mitchell as the ref.

At least cotto has dignity, mosely jumped off pac's leg and right onto mayweather's without missing a beat.
cotto didn't call out manny, pac called him out,so don't try to make it seem that cotto was sweating manny.mosley was prostituting his azz to make a fight with manny. If 146 pounder was to fight pac ,it will be a overrated fight and 146 pounder will pot shot all nite.ssm will be a better fight cuz manny will let 146 pounder dictate the fight and clinch as soon as pac starts his combo flurries.
