Loma would have schooled Valero. There’s a lot of revisionism with Valero, he was pretty crude and predictable if you’ve actually watched him. Loma by late stoppage.Comment

you can probably shoot me down for the 'gym stories' claims but the general feeling among those who worked with Valero was he actually was pretty damn skilled, good defence, headmovement, boxing IQ and footwork and showed it often in sparring & training but the people around him said he just got addicted to his power and would try blast people out early (which usually happened)
having watched some sparring footage over the years against good fighters like oscar and morales to name a few I think he had more to his game that we saw in actual fights ..but of course not Loma levels of talent but enough to say he wasn't as crude as he appearedLast edited by davef; 10-06-2022, 12:24 PM.Comment

just go watch Valero's sparring footage with Erik Morales.
Valero was bullying Morales. an actual ATG.
If only Valero can manage to get embarassed by Journeymen like Salido and Lopez(Yes Lopez is a journeyman, that Aussie bum beat him easy), then he could be as great as LOMA.
jfl. Loma is the biggest hypejob of all time.Comment
