I`m guessing Spence is the hold up. Crawford agreed to take less money and doesn`t care what network carries the fight as he is a free agent, so that leaves the ball in Spence`s court. If this fight doesn`t happen now, it will never happen.

The situation is the same for both fighters …the promoters handle the training expenses he’s a free agent not under contract to anybody that’s the cost of being the boss… He’s getting cold feet
he didnt say "training expenses", he said "transparency of expenses".

Crawford is supposed to be getting a percentage of the total revenue. In order to make sure he gets what he's supposed to get, he wants transparent books and to see where the money goes. Reasonable request if your compensation is a percentage of the event instead of just a flat-fee arrangement.

Or is he just supposed to trust that Al didnt cook the books?? lol

I can only imagine the posts here if Charlo or Spence were being asked to just blindly trust Arum or Hearn when it comes to accounting for the event revenue. LOL

Even Pacquiao and VisionQwest couldn't get Bob Arum to open the books.

But now Crawford has the pull to get Haymon to open them? lol

Spence isn't holding up anything. He just fought in April and has agreed to everything. Bud is and has been the problem.

Truer words have never been spoken.
I’d prefer Boots vs Bud because of their styles. I think Bud beats Ortiz

If Crawford isn’t fighting Spence I doubt Haymon will make a deal with another PBC fighter. Crawford has very little options outside of Spence.
                  Most likely it’s Spence/Thurman.

                      seems like a reasonable request.
I think the sticking point is he wants veto power on all expenses. Transparency is one thing. Having a fighter get involved in decision making on every aspect of expenses for a fight is a totally different ask. I'm starting to understand more why Bob Arum felt the way he did about TC.
