Ward,"... if Canelo is who he says he is, an all-time great, you got to take advantage of a fighter like that ..."
True, especially if you're predicting a KO. That nite it seemed like neither guy was willing to leave it all in the ring.

that's a 50/50 offer. When 2 p4p fighters negotiate and the term is 50/50, the person that walks away is the DUCK. Period.

GGG move up 4, ward move down 4. WARD DECLINED

          WARD DUCK #1

Later on, GGG offered Ward the fight at 168. GGG is older btw.

          Ward declined it AGAIN.

          WARD DUCK #2

          facts only

it's 50/50 offer. GGG come up a weight class and Ward move down. It's Ward that declined.

Ward ducked Golovkin TWICE. this is a fact of history.

Nope, GGG offered Ward the fight at 168 toward the end of Ward's career. GGG is older btw.

            Ward declined it AGAIN.

Mr. "Anybody from 154-168," got scared when Ward said he would fight him! GGG name does not belong in the same sentence as Roy Jones Jr. or Bernard Hopkins! It's Blasphemy for those who thinking he was the best MW ever!

Ward said he'd beat Anthony Joshua too. Why didn't he got to heavyweight? JFL these low IQ welfare merchants, I swear

Ward walked away from 2 50/50 offers from GGG. He had no drawing power either.

Ward is the duck X 2. Period.

I stand by post, not because I need to win but because it's in context and truthful.

He definitely could have fought canelo he probably still could. Stop making up narratives. Him and lil g were both on HBO and featured bumlovkin and him didn’t have many marquee matchups the fight was proposed and ward wanted it Ofc as ggg was heavily hyped but ggg didn’t want the smoke. He never wanted the smoke with anyone
In context, Golovkin was a 160lb middle weight his entire career and fought everyone at 160lbs. Andre Ward attempted to get Golovkin to come up to 168lbs because Ward wanted to get paid GGG/Canelo money. By then, Gennady Golovkin was already selling out the Garden and had a contract with David Lemieux. Lemiex lead to fights with Danny Jacobs and Canelo and to significantly more big money paydays. When Ward attempted to lure Golovkin into the ring it wasn't about beating a middle weight, it was about keeping his name relevant, stealing thunder, and getting the money he thought should have been his. Andre Ward didn't make big money until 1- 1/2 years later when he fought Kovelev in late 2016.

Today Andre Ward makes good money as an analyst but as a fighter he didn't, and to this day he resents both Canelo and Golovkin for making the money he thought he deserved, simple as that..

I have always defended Andre Ward but for him to dig up ancient history today just makes Ward sound like an entitled Karen crying about what he didn't get.

Ward the fraud wouldn't have been capable of beating a faded Roy Jones

Canelo hurt his hand and now needs surgery. Gonna be out for a year probably.

Maybe that had something to do with not being able to get the KO?
