    Not CoWard tho

Here's Ward declining to fight at 168

    his own words

The fact is Canelo fought Bivol at 175 lbs.

But Lil G couldn't find the courage to face Ward at 168 lbs.

That's why their resumes and legacies are worlds apart.

    • It wasn't 164 or no fight. It was 164 if Ward wanted 50/50. Golovkin at that time was undoubtably a bigger name and ticket seller. Doesn't matter that Ward had the better resume, that's not what determines value. Golovkin was willing to go to 168 for Froch and Chavez because they were, at that time, the much bigger name, either here or in the UK. And with the possibility of the Canelo fight happening (obviously at the time we thought it much sooner), Golovkin would be risking way more to move up. There's a reason Ward came back at 172 against Paul Smith in 2015. He's stated how difficult it was to make 168 and with that long layoff, he expected to make 168 around a year later? Doubt it. He didn't move to 175 because he was seeking greater challenges, he moved up because his body was telling him to. There was never really a good window to make this fight, despite whatever both sides have said.

Why didn't Ward find the courage to face GGG at 168?

How dare you talk to me like that. You should kneel to me now and I'll spare you the night of the 28th.

Styles makes fights and all that but if you believe in triangle theory like me Golovkin would've been too tough and too hard a puncher for Ward to handle.
A good little men can't beat a good big men, period! Ward is just too complete for GGG!

that is exactly what fans insisted would happen when Canelo fought Golovkin

that is exactly what fans insisted would happen when Danny Jacobs fought Golovkin

most insiders will tell you that Golovkin was never going to beat Andre Ward

just like most insiders knew that Pacquiao was never going to beat Mayweather

Golovkin could not even beat Canelo.... despite having 3 attempts, against a familiar opponent

he could not get a clean win over Danny Jacobs.... who got stopped by light-lunching Dimitry Pirog

and he got smacked around by little Derevychenko.... a smaller opponent, who was coming off a loss

Ward was NONE of those things LMAO

there is a very good reason why Golovkin avoided that fight TWICE

Ward is a mover-spoiler, who is notoriously difficult to look good against

just like Mayweather.... another mover-spoiler, who is notoriously difficult to look good against

Golovkin would not even fight Lara.... yet another mover-spoiler, who was notoriously difficult to look good against

              come on man.... Ward ???

              • I was saying the same **** just after the fight and had GGG fanboys follow me around saying I "DKSAB" but since then, Loma, Zurdo, Ward and countless others have shared similar sentiments. A lot of people were ok with GGG's survival tactics but were furious with Canelo for not getting a KO. It's difficult to KO a guy who's sole purpose is to survive and make it to the final bell. It's not the first time Canelo's seen that game-plan, it happened with Matthew Hatton and Callum Smith, GGG can now be added to the list of guys who showed up for a payday and little belief they can actually win.
