Well I've noticed the Ring doing the Pound for Pound spot swapping ever since Cotto was top 5 Pound for pound

Cotto lost his #5 spot to Margarito .. who lost it to Mosley.

So using that spot swapping logic, why wouldn't Mayweather take over JMM's spot after beating him

it might not be the most concrete logic to use, but its been done before

It's all set up imo. The scuffle, the ratings and Mayweather/Mosley probably already have an agreement to fight. They are both in it together to hype it all along with the rest of the GBP party. I don't believe this is all genuine.
I do think they all are in on it especially if Oscar helped Floyd out, Floyd has beef with Arum it would be ****** for Golden Boy to let Floyd squash that since Golden Boy has been the one promoting Mayweather in all his huge fights.

I don't know if the ring rankings are in on it though maybe they just really looked at it now that they had to figure out how to place Floyd and figured Shane is atleast trying to fight so he should get the edge.

Ok, someone explain this to me.

        Previously the top 5 was:

        Pac
        JMM
        B-Hop
        Shane
        Vasquez

        NOW it is this:

        Pac
        Mayweather
        Shane
        B-Hop
        JMM

Can someone explain to me how Shane Mosley has got in front of B-Hop without having even fought a fight?!
The Ring are just trying to hype this Mayweather-Mosley fight, their ratings are flawed.
Can you explain how the WBO made Manny Pacquiao a mandatory challenger for the 147lbs title.

In any case those ratings are screwed,Floyd is number one, maybe Pacquiao is number 2

No, because at that time, Hopkins was only four months past an impressive win himself. But now it's more than 11 months since B-Hop last fought.

            yeah I found that questionable

the trilogy was awesome, but these 2 have been on the Pound for Pound list quite some time.

Maybe they were more impressed with Shane than Bernard in their bum rushing of Floyd's post-fight interview.

What's ridiculous is that Shane is even in the top 5. Here's a guy that really only has 1 good win in the last few years, yet somehow he's the number 3 fighter in the world.

How does Mayweather jump in front of Cotto in the WW rankings? He beats a blown up LW and he goes to two? Cotto has beaten Mosley, Clottey, Quintana, Gomez, Jennings, Urkal, and Judah at WW. Mayweather has beaten Shamba Mitchell, Judah, Baldomir, Hatton, and Marquez. Mayweather's overall resume is better than Cotto's, but not at WW IMO.

Mosley took his spot from Margarito who took it from Cotto.
