Probably because Hopkins is a man of leisure nowadays and will only fight again if he feels like it lol

Golden Boy have had these ratings highjacked for a while now. Neither Nard or Shane have fought in almost a year, so how do they switch places? Why is Cotto so far behind Shane when he beat him? Why the fucck is Cabellero on the list?

Beating the #1 Welterweight is way more impressive than beating up on an old Featherweight.
Paul Williams was #10 for a while but now has been knocked off since Mayweather has made a comeback into the ratings.

The Ring is owned by Golden Boy, enough said? They are trying to further their agenda.

Lets look at The Ring. Last month, Cotto was on the cover. OK- hes Top Rank, thats understandable. This month- Manny, Wlad, etc.- no Floyd, even though hes returning. Next Month? Manny again- and Cotto. Interesting, but ok. However, look at The Ring online. Doug Fisher, Michael Rosenthal, etc.- every headline "Floyd returns but is boring", etc.- I wrote Doug Fisher and was respectful as hell, only to be writ off as pathetic, shameful, and delusional- just because I'm a Floyd fan. The Ring is now biased, anti-Floyd, and out to be political. Let there be no doubt.

                  It makes sense.

Hopkins hasn't fought in 2009, while Shane's had an impressive win over Margarito.

I will still buy the Ring magazine but its being influenced by its owner, Golden Boy Promotions.

Back then, They had an article about fighters who quit. In this month's issue, they are defending Victor Ortiz.

Putting 3 GBP fighters and 1 they co promote on the top 5.

Ok, someone explain this to me.

                      Previously the top 5 was:

                      Pac
                      JMM
                      B-Hop
                      Shane
                      Vasquez

                      NOW it is this:

                      Pac
                      Mayweather
                      Shane
                      B-Hop
                      JMM

Can someone explain to me how Shane Mosley has got in front of B-Hop without having even fought a fight?!
The Ring are just trying to hype this Mayweather-Mosley fight, their ratings are flawed.

I think it was a bit naive of us to think that GBP wouldn't exert influence on Ring.

Let's just be thankful that Pac retained his position. That was in doubt.
