Are you here to actually be critical or save your knight in shining armor? Here, I’ll make it simple for you. Fury set terms 60/40 for December, following so far? AJ accepted over Twitter PUBLICLY. Fury sends contract two weeks ago and sets deadline. Two weeks pass and no signed contract. But hey, let’s not let those messy little things we like to call facts get in the way of a good ol fashioned emotional tirade for a heart throb.

It never fails to amaze me how each time these types of contracts get mentioned folks bend over backwards to remind us just how little they actually know about business..they aren’t negotiating a car, there are many intangibles just on licensing alone. Just that alone would’ve taken more than a week to work out unless the fighters are on the same network with the same manager and the same promoter. Hell even no name fights take longer than a week to sign.Last edited by turnedup; 09-29-2022, 09:46 PM.Comment

That contract was already existing ,the only thing Ruiz negotiating was a bigger split . If your insinuating that Joshua doesn’t want this one you better come up with something better than an Andy example where he was the last resort replacement . It's not just a case of signing or not signing. There will be departures, language issues, insurances, commercial terms, termination clauses, payment details... I could go on and on... These things take time to get through legal counsel. Then there's broadcast matters. They might be resolved in principle but there'll be a whole new swag of legals to go with that deal.
It seems like the only major sticking points were around some of the commercial deals. Both sides seem to be agreeing that it initially wasn't a co-promotion and that Joshua was on a 40% split without visibility of the commercial deals being made.
Everything seems amicable enough and being resolved speedily enough.
There's just one party to the deal being very unreasonable and he's doing it openly on social media.
You want to quote facts but you disregard the majority of them. It's all out there - the deal is being done as long as Fury will actually allow it to be done.Comment

I'll guarantee Haney's contract went through extensive legal review and back and forth between lawyers.Comment
