Ever negotiated a major (say over a million dollars) contract?

It's not just a case of signing or not signing. There will be departures, language issues, insurances, commercial terms, termination clauses, payment details... I could go on and on... These things take time to get through legal counsel. Then there's broadcast matters. They might be resolved in principle but there'll be a whole new swag of legals to go with that deal.

It seems like the only major sticking points were around some of the commercial deals. Both sides seem to be agreeing that it initially wasn't a co-promotion and that Joshua was on a 40% split without visibility of the commercial deals being made.

Everything seems amicable enough and being resolved speedily enough.

There's just one party to the deal being very unreasonable and he's doing it openly on social media.

You want to quote facts but you disregard the majority of them. It's all out there - the deal is being done as long as Fury will actually allow it to be done.

Not ignoring any facts. Two weeks is more than enough time to hash out details for a one night contract and promotional obligations. This is not the first nor the last timeHearn drags out a negotiation until it’s no longer relevant….enter stage right Boo Boo

You're simply too gullible. Where on earth does a fighter set deadlines for a fight of this magnitude? If this fight doesn't happen it's simply because Fury doesn't really want it in the first place. He's surprised that AJ accepted all his conditions and he's now looking for an excuse to withdraw and fight his preferred opponent, Charr.

I was going with the notion that Fury's already agreed to fight Chaar and this is all smoke and mirrors but the last few days has seemed like stall tactics from Hearn. Either way, I'm bored of this now.

Both Frank Warren & Eddie Hearn explained the contract was initially "all over the place"
In other words needed fine tuning & then the hold up was the BT/Espn/Dazn broadcast deal
