Why not? The International boxing Hall of Fame has plenty of inductees that Wilder is just as worthy as.

The problem is that people get confused between what people consider Hall of Fame fighters and actual all-time great fighters.

The International boxing Hall of Fame is simply just a ceremony they induct fighters into each year and some of them are not anything special, and it doesn’t make them great fighters. Barry McGuigan is in it, he wasn’t beating numerous great fighters. He was just a decent fighter who lost his belt to another decent contender a couple of fights after winning it.

So if these are the standards then Wilder will be in it.

I agree, but either is Joshua. If Joshua had the balls to accept the $50M flat fee that Wilders team offered, Wilder would have been closer to the Hall of fame after knocking Joshua clean out in the first two rounds. Hearn knew this of course, which is why they turned a career high payday down.

Wilder is far from HOF worthy.

Barely anyone in recent memory is yet we have guys like Keith Thurman and Abner Mares thinking they deserve to be first ballot HOF’ers.

Wilder has the 5th most title defense for a HW. That’s more than both Lennox and Tyson. That, his KO percentage, the 2 epic fights he had with fury (first & third fight) and he’s not done fighting yet so he’ll most likely add to that. There’s fighters in the hall of fame with less of a resume. Hearn just being a lil biatchhh per usual.

I hate Eddie Hearn. Absolutely despise him. I really like Deontay and root for him.

unfortunately at this point I don’t think Wilder gets in the Hall. But he has more work to do and more time to do it so it’s possible. Im rooting for him.

can you name a boxer that you can rightfully classify as a bona fide hall of fame all time great that wilder beat?

One could say the same for Dempsey, Tunney, Johnson, Holmes minus the farcical Ali debacle, even Marciano with his 6 defences. How popular would Charles and Cream/Walcott be without their being on Marciano’s record. There have only been two great eras for heavyweights in history, the early 70s and the 90s. All other eras were a couple of good heavyweights and average contenders. Hence why Louis’ reign has been referred to the “bum a month” tour.

We are back to the 2018 time frame when he obsessed with everything Deontay Wilder which all goes back to wilder not letting Hearn control his career and not selling dazn subscriptions for him. Hearn has always obsessed with wilder and will no doubt have an obsessive soliloquy about wilder on his death bed. It was this strange obsession with wilder that really opened my eyes about how slimey Hearn really is. This is right. Hearn is (mostly) right here. Wilder COULD be hall of fame if he actually started fighting and beating a load of top guys. Same with Fury. Fury talks a lot but never fights anyone. Fury beat a pre-retirement Wlad and ran from the rematch and then beat an unproven Wilder. How does that get you in the hall of fame?

Basically all these fighters need to stop talking and actually start fighting the top guys.
