Why does Shakur have this stigma of being pillowfisted when he's hurt everyone he's been in the ring with as a 130 pounder?

Not comparing his power to Tank and Teofimo but for am easy comparison you would not want either of those guys to land more than 5 flush shots on you.
^^^that's the answer to the question

He is quite light hitting for an elite level boxer. I think people fixate a bit too much on power anyway. Stevenson hits hard enough to win fights.

Some people use the "feather fisted" and "boring" labels against guys like Stevenson and Haney because they don't like them and it's one of the only criticisms they can come up with. Other people genuinely don't appreciate certain styles of fighters. Some people only like aggressive fighters, knockout artists etc. Other people can appreciate defense and other skills.

Floyd and sweetpea did just fine without punching power as they moved up.

        Skills over everything

Floyd and Sweepea were fighting elite fighters when they moved up. I like Shakur, but he's not even stopping B level fighters.

KO %'s kind of explains it
            His game is not power.
            Accumulative effects if anything

Well he does have power, but he is unable to stop the elite opponents he has fought so far even if he has knocked them down and hurt them in multiple occasions.

His top wins at featherweight are Joet Gonzalez and Christoper Diaz who are not outstanding, he stopped either.

He dominated Nakathila, Oscar Valdez and Robson Conceicao, he hasn't stopped none of them neither.

He knocked out Jamel Herring whom he sparred a lot with as a former stablemate. However, it took 10 rounds and 1 out of 6 isn't sufficient.

At least we will see if his power gets better at lightweight.

Regardless of other reasons, if you just look at most any fighter in any weight class they normally have a higher KO percentage as a blooming fighter than an older fighter, due to the matchmaking in the early period of their respective careers. They are fed lower tier opponents to get the easy KO and build up their record. Stevenson is sharp as hell, but he does lack power right now. It may be something a new trainer may hone into, but he is just sharp at tagging the target now; not really punching through the target…if that makes any sense.
Regardless if he punches like Paulie Malinaggi or Tim Bradley, he will be able to keep a good record and excel in the sport, as long as he stays focused. If he fails to stay defensively aware with the lightweight crop that is available, he could see an L or 2.

Stevenson is far from boring, he is featherfisted though.

Haney is both featherfisted and boring. I wouldn’t clump those two together.

Thing is he hasn’t even fought elite fighters yet. His weak punching power has been vs good, decent and poor opposition. But not elite.

True, none of the featherweights actually got a belt even now, plus Jamel Herring was pass it and while Robson Conceicao is difficult to hit, he is very vulnerable of getting hit flush because he leaves his chin untucked and rarely uses a proper high guard.

Plus his offense is not that good when can he only throws looping punches.

Luis Coria knocked him down twice who lost to Adam Lopez and featherweight Enrique Vivas.

Valdez is a good win but you imagine that it would be 50/50 fight against some like JoJo Diaz you can't exactly say he is an elite fighter.

JoJo isn't a pushover, but he is a very beatable fighter.
