Why does Shakur have this stigma of being pillowfisted when he's hurt everyone he's been in the ring with as a 130 pounder?

Outside of Msrtinez who's been in a bunch wars, who did Loma KO at 130? His stoppages came from his opponents being frustrated not because they were seriously hurt.

Marriaga too. He dropped him a couple times before his corner through in the towel. That's a stoppage. He was dismantling hm. And you can't tell me that Walters, Sosa and Rigo weren't about to get stopped. He was beating them up so badly that the writing was on the wall. In fact, it's far more impressive to take a man's soul, make him quit, then to get a KO because of how rare such an event is. Do you realize what you have to do to take away a mans will to fight? To take his soul? That's next level.

Bottom line is that the writing was on the wall, and those guys who quit did so before they ended up like Nakatani did at 135, who should have quit but was too much of a warrior.

Hes a 135 pounder draining for 130, came in 2 pounds over weight and still went the distance with his opponent who made weight.

feather fists even with a weight advantage

This. Those guys rather quit than take more punches from loma.

With Shakur they stayed until the final bell.

Yes. Exactly. And it's not a slight on Shakur that he's not knocking guys out. It is what it is. Although, I have to say, that when you're a weight bully (which is what he was missing weight that night), then not being able to KO your opponent means you have little power. This is why I think he's not going to look as good at 135 as he did at 130. The only guys that seem look good are guys that have a lot of power to keep the bigger guys honest.

Normally I'd think that he'd have power moving up except for the fact that he missed weight and couldn't stop Robson. That tells me all I need to know about how much power he'll have moving up.

I understand what you're saying but It wasn't a problem for Mayweather when he moved up and wasn't knocking out opponents. He doesn't have to knock his opponents out to win. Nobody is walking through him so he must have something on his punches.

It's due to his being an excellent boxer. That's what makes it difficult. And every pro fighter hits hard. There's that too. But as they say, there's levels.

The label is because he is one of the bigger 130 lb fighters out there. And he lands solid shots (so of course thee opponent is going to feel them) but fir the amount of solid shots that he lands he does not do as much damage as he probably should.

Not comparing his power to Tank and Teofimo but for am easy comparison you would not want either of those guys to land more than 5 flush shots on you.
