LAS VEGAS - Gennadiy Golovkin didn't dispute his unanimous-decision defeat to Canelo Alvarez. Unlike the results of their two 12-round middleweight title fights, Golovkin seemed more accepting of Alvarez's victory in their third fight Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena. The Kazakhstan native did state during his post-fight press conference, however, that he did enough to beat Alvarez in their 12-round, 168-pound championship match.

Pretty delusional lol I never thought I’d see Golovkin fight so timid/cautious (would hate to use the word scared). As slow and old as he looked, he found success in the later rounds when he picked up the pace. Could’ve been an entirely different fight if he had fought with an ounce of confidence early on.

There’s enough delusion in the GGG-Canelo trilogy to satisfy even the most demanding conspiracy theorist.

No, GGG hasn't lost the fight. He has lost his mind.

Not this again. Let’s nip this in the bud now and it make it law ggg clearly lost this time so they don’t try and do a 4th fight.

He fought at mid-range for 8 rounds, showed some decent-ish control of that range with some evasive action, but got tagged, was reluctant to fire because he knew he’d get tagged even more by Canelo’s fast hands, and looked unsteady on his feet.

All through those rounds, I was wondering why he didn’t get in and fight right in the pocket, instead of at mid-range where Canelo has an even bigger advantage now G’s reactions have gone.

When Golovkin got right in to throw uppercuts and hooks late on, he had success. Nowhere near enough, but could have had more if he’d have shown the requisite bravery at the start.

I always noticed that about him. Ggg is like a bully. When ever he was fighting someone he knew he could beat that’s when you seen the “Mexican style” and you saw the killer walk him down style he got known for. But when ever he fought someone that wasn’t scared of him and was going to be throwing something back at him that’s when all that killer instinct magically disappeared and would just try to hide behind his jab lol.

just look at all his fights against canelo,Daniel jacobs and even with David Lemieux ggg started out kind of hesitant because he knew he had power but then came out of his shell lol.

put ggg in with a tomato can and watch how rejuvenated he will look lol.

Nah GGG you gotta wear this loss, you got robbed in the first fight but this one you were just too old and too slow. Go enjoy retirement and wait for your call to upstate New York in a few years.
