I always noticed that about him. Ggg is like a bully. When ever he was fighting someone he knew he could beat that’s when you seen the “Mexican style” and you saw the killer walk him down style he got known for. But when ever he fought someone that wasn’t scared of him and was going to be throwing something back at him that’s when all that killer instinct magically disappeared and would just try to hide behind his jab lol.

just look at all his fights against canelo,Daniel jacobs and even with David Lemieux ggg started out kind of hesitant because he knew he had power but then came out of his shell lol.

put ggg in with a tomato can and watch how rejuvenated he will look lol.

Yeah that’s a good point. The Lemieux fight stands out as a younger, fresher Golovkin was able to pump out a piston jab and punch and move. It isn’t the same being inactive and 40 now especially against a beast like Canelo. I get it but those first 7 rounds he looked to just be surviving in there not attempting to win.

That wasn’t no clean fight. Golovkin needs to stop smoking. Every time it gets tough for him he starts fighting dirty, throwing rabbit punches, headbutts etc Just like Lomachenko when he was getting outboxed by Teofimo. Idk if that’s how they’re accustomed in Europe or what

First 2 rounds were close. I split them. Canelo clearly won 3 4 5 and 7. 6 and 8 were close, I didn't score the last 4 as I knew GGG needed the KO at that point but it was no blowout really. Canelo outboxed him closely but clearly in quite a few rounds but no shame in that. GGG nipped or at least was in most of the other rounds. 8 or so
