GGG is 40 years old and he just fought a cash cow in his prime. And he gave him some trouble in last rounds.

Can you imagine 40 old Canelo fighting some new future 30 old guy?

    I don`t.

yeah saunders fight he saw that saunders was ducking low and was looking for that uppercut and timed it perfectly breaking his face. he seemed more patient and accurate then. Yesterday looked like he was swinging for the fences with no real plan. Same way he caught Khan with a perfect counter KO punch. Seemed more like he was going through the motions yesterday and just applying some pressure but I didnt see the same master technician who was patiently adjusting his offense to get the perfect shot through.

Man, it is about the level of competition.

Or you think Saunders is the same level as Bivol?

Give him another Saunders, and Canelo will look like a monster again.

He showed flashes of what he was in previous fights but something seems off with him. It could be that he needs some time off but to me it looks more like he is having an identity crisis with is style.

Loading up way too much and not being patient with his approach. Needs to get his fight IQ back up because in this current state he looks a lot more beatable compared to previous years.

i think canelo has reached his peak... he doesnt have that crafty smooth upper body movement like in the lower weights... he's also not the beast power puncher his fans was making him out to be... he just walks forward and stalk his opponents by throwing 1-2 power punches.. i think canelo either needs a new trainer or needs to go back to the basic.

i believe he loads up on power punches now because he's hoping to get his opponent out early... if he fights slow and pick his shots, his gas tank will run out in the later rounds (even if you are not throwing much, all the blocking, etc. will still get you tired), so i feel like canelo is trying to end the fight early by throwing power punches because he knows his stamina is shiiiet in the later rounds.

When I detect a decline it's usually when a guy doesn't respond the way he would've prior
not because they were confused mentally or a style issue but because PHYSICALLY the body CAN'T perform the tasks.
Example, GGG is definitely on the decline at 40
he's physically not as capable as he was in their 1st fight, far less than when he was facing the Gregorz Proksa's of the world.
THAT to me is a declining fighter, he can no longer be what we know him to be
                    even against lesser opposition.
The GGG that stopped Vanes & Brook would've made quick work of Murata imo

Canelo however I feel is at his peak, like all he CAN DO from here is decline if he isn't careful.
in his ONLY loss since Floyd he still looked great he just got outsmarted
he went the distance, walked down the bigger guy & gave a solid account for himself in certain areas
                    far from DECLINING imo
had he done just a bit more he literally would've won the fight, all 3 scores were 115-113
little more movement, little more punching & we talking about a Canelo W here

I think he's doing too much weightlifting these days. Carrying a lot of muscle requires a lot of oxygen expenditure, that could partly explain his stamina problems.

Same thing happens to the bodybuilder Anthony Joshua.
