It's because he won't fight other Mexican fighters. He wants to reign supreme over all Mexican boxing. He doesn't want to see other Mexican fighters to succeed and reign supreme over him. He has drawn the nationality line against his own people. Both Don King, Al Haymon and Floyd Mayweather, Jr have all done more to help the Mexican people and its fighters than Saul Canelo Alvarez has.

Benavidez has shown no motivation to hold on to a belt and his best win is 2nd tier Dirrell but he expects 1 fight retirement pay from the legend who continues doing more work than everyone combined?

Canelo is scared his fanbase will abandon him for a real Mexican warrior. Mexicans are already jumping off the bandwagon. They didn't like the way he ducked Benavidez then ran from the Bivol rematch.

Oh really? So what makes it so? So let me ask you a question then; What exactly did Avni Yıldırım accomplish in his career in order to deserve an opportunity to fight Canelo Alvarez? In addition, what did Caleb Plant, Billy Joe Saunders and even Callum Smith have achieved in their careers to deserve their opportunities to fight Canelo as well?

None of them vacated their belts because of tacos twice. Bumavidez paying the price of his ******ity. Canelo could fight him for WBC belt.

Is that so? Then why hasn't he ever lost to a Mexican fighter in his entire career? Obviously, he would like to keep that record intact. His only losses have come at the hands of non-Mexican fighters who are Floyd Mayweather, Jr and Dmitry Bivol.
